The round of 96 was relatively kind to O.C. surfers at the Honda 2008 U.S. Open of Surfing. Day 7 saw Tim Reyes and Brett Simpson, of Huntington Beach; Patrick and Dane Gudauskas, of San Clemente; and Cory Lopez, of Laguna Niguel, advance to the round of 48.
