Rip Curl awarded its three sponsor Wildcard spots into the Rip Curl Pro Search main event to Kekoa Bacalso, Kieren Perrow and Bruno Santos. The trio didn't disappoint, with Kekoa winning his Round 1 heat and KP and Bruno winning through Round 2.
