"If the race dictates it, I promise you I will attack." Lance Armstrong's words in an interview before the start of the Tour Down Under 2009.
During stage 2, The 37 year old Armstrong did attack on two climbs. He made ground from 120th place, but said afterward about the attacks, "I feel OK, but it was very hard. Attacking on the hills wasn't the smartest thing to do."
