We dodged the rain as best we could, dried off the brand new 2010 Zumiez Couch Tour street course and had a great contest. We also coined a new phrase to describe the skate species that swims up here in the rainy Northwest, "Pacific Northwest Rippers". These rippers broke in the plank ledge, cannon pole jam and wave rollers, all brand new this year, to go along with the overall theme of the tour.
Michael Patterson came late to the comp, but still managed to acclimate quickly and take the contest. He also won in the first year of BFF. Michael landed the hardest tricks of the day, like switch 5-0, the hubba, switch 270 front board and switch crook on the rail, and laser heeled the double set. Jake Wood and Chris Jimenez rounded out the top 3.
