Despite the ongoing social turmoil in Egypt, the crucially important Suez Canal has suffered remarkably little disruption, shipping sources say. A rally by disgruntled Suez staff on Wednesday came as thousands of workers in firms owned by the Canal authorities went on strike over pay and conditions.
