Skydiving Instructor Makes Very Serious Mistake

I shot this video in September 1997. Drop zone is in Northern Californa. It is a tandem skydive where the instructor wears the parachute and harness and the student is in a harness attatched to the instructors harness at four points. 2 at shoulder level and 2 at waist level. The instructor only connected the 2 at waist level. This screw up is the only time, in over 1000 video jumps for me, I have seen this happen. The instructor was fired that day. However he did get the other 2 connected in freefall before the drouge was deployed.
