Katie Price holding off on split announcement?

The state of Katie Price and Alex Reid's marriage is still in question following numerous reports in the last 24 hours that the couple is on the verge of confirming their split.

A press conference was due to be held yesterday but was apparently called off at the last minute.

Pictures followed of a forlorn-looking Alex working out in a gym last night.

Katie and Alex, who married in Las Vegas 11 months ago, are rumoured to have already drafted their statement and Katie is now just waiting for the right moment to release it to the press.

Meanwhile there are numerous reports that the reason 32-year-old Katie backtracked on making the split public was so that she could take legal advice to ensure Alex does not get any of her £40million fortune in a divorce settlement.

Since these latest reports of a split from Alex emerged, the mother-of-three seems to be deliberately avoiding all talk of her relationship on Twitter, instead chatting about her love of music and training with her sister for the London Marathon.
