Hosting the season's first stop, Chamonix is arguably the world’s most renowned alpine resort and a Mecca for freeriding. Host of the first Winter Olympics in 1924, skiers and snowboarders come from all over the world to take on its vast range of steep slopes.., With 4810-meter Mont Blanc as the perfect backdrop, local favourite and former Freeride World Champion Aurélien Ducroz will be looking to fend off 2010 World Champion and former X-Games star Candide Thovex on the magnificent Hotel Face at the Brévent ski station.
