Reese Witherspoon has become the latest actress to receive the coveted Hollywood star.

The Oscar Winner joined the Walk of Fame yesterday becoming number 2,425 on the list.

Speaking about the award, Witherspoon said: "it feels like this incredible honour to have made it all the way from Nashville to Hollywood Boulevard". She added that her kids had been asking when she would get the star.

The actress is most famous for playing dizzy Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. In 2005 she won an Academy Award for her role as Johnny Cash's wife in Walk the Line.

In her next film "How Do You Know" which is due out on December 17th, Witherspoon plays a former softball player with a romantic dilemma.
