Burmese Refugees Return Home from Thailand after Ethnic

Burmese refugees are returning from Thailand Wednesday. Ethnic violence died has subsided between Burma's junta regime and ethnic rebel fighters. The latest conflict broke out after frustrations with elections held in the military ruled state... called a fraud by many in the international community.
Thousands of Burmese refugees have returned to their homes from Thailand on Tuesday… after clashes broke out between the country’s army and ethnic rebels along the border with Thailand.
Thailand set up camps for the refugees, giving them shelter until the violence died down.

"They say that there is nothing happening there now. So, I'm not afraid to go back. And, I thank Thailand for their help."
Earlier, residents who fled to Thailand say around 30 bodies of soldiers were seen on the streets in Myawaddy early Tuesday, and some buildings were damaged in the attack. Burmese authorities say about 10 unidentified bodies have been found.
The violence began after last Sunday’s election in the military ruled state. Many in the international community say the election was a fraud, as it was tightly controlled by Burma’s military junta, with reports of voter and candidate intimidation.
