AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has described the encounter with Palermo as the most important of the season so far.
With the derby against city rivals Inter looming on Sunday, Allegri is wary that his players will not be fully focused against the Sicilians.
Palermo ended a run of four consecutive defeats with a 1-0 win over Genoa at the weekend while they were 2-0 winners when they visited the San Siro last season.
"Palermo will arrive in Milan with a different spirit from what they had before the match against Genoa," Allegri said at a press conference today.
"When teams come to play at the San Siro they are always inspired.
"Milan will respect them. It will be the most important game we have played so far this season because it arrives just before the derby.
