Russell Brand and Katy Perry upset the locals

Russell Brand and Katy Perry could be in trouble with Indian officials over allegations that the pair broke wildlife laws.

The couple held their Hindu wedding at a wildlife park in India and during the festivities a Tiger is rumoured to have made it's way into the hotel.

Now some locals are blaming the pair, saying their late celebrations spooked the animal.

Local lawyer Ashok Sharma has accused the couple of breaching the Indian Wildlife Protection Act, claiming their celebrations went on past the 10pm curfew.

Sharma said: "In spite of wildlife laws being violated, the district administration did not take any action against them. This is why I have filed a complaint in court so that a proper enquiry is conducted".

If the couple are found guilty they could face up to seven years in prison and a £10,000 fine.

Raghuivr Singh, the director of the wildlife park where the wedding was held, has dismissed the claims. "The allegations are ridiculous and useless because no violation ever happened," he said.
