Governor Schwarzenegger Hails British Troops as “True Action

Hard-man Holywood action hero, turned California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, visits British Prime Minister David Cameron at Downing Street on Thursday.

Cameron jokes that Schwarzenegger was in London to "help terminate the budget deficit."

Eye-watering deficits are known all too well by Schwarzenegger, who had his own to deal with in a state that ranks as the eighth largest in the world, just below that of Britain's.

Schwarzenegger clashed repeatedly with American unions after slashing public budgets, something Cameron is about to experience next week.

Schwarzenegger later watches the changing of the guards at Wellington Barracks, near Buckingham Palace.

He tells the soldiers from the 1st Battalion of the Grenadier Guards, recently back from serving in Afghanistan, that they were the real heroes.

[Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor, State of California]: (male, English)
"I get hailed a lot of times when I travel around the world as being the action hero. But I know the difference. Being a movie action hero, where it is make-believe and the true action-heroes. You all are the true action heroes, because you are risking your lives.”

Schwarzenegger thanks the soldiers for the great work they are doing every day.
