The world has got its first glimpse of the long-awaited Glee episode featuring Britney Spears.

A trailer for the news season of Glee, courtesy of 20th Century Fox Television Limited, is circulating on the web advertising the special.

Producers have paid tribute to the Slave For You star with a full episode in which the cast perform classic Britney numbers.

Ms. Spears herself will appear on the show, though it's rumoured she won't join the cast on the McKinley High campus, but instead appear in dream sequences.

Glee's creator Ryan Murphy has praised the 28-year-old's "sweet and humble" attitude, saying she was a pleasure to have on set.

The second series of Glee airs in the UK in January 2011.
