This very popuar event held in beautiful Sunrise Park in Palm Springs California drew an audience of almost 5000 community members this year and is sponsored by the Palm Springs Opera Guild. Many of these performers are winners from the annual Vocal Cash Scholarship Awards Competition held in Decemeber each year. Audtions are held in November in Palm Springs and Los Angeles and are open to young men and women between the ages of 18-30 in the tri-state area of California, Arizona and Nevada. An extensive Youth Outreach program takes place in June each year and brings opera into the schools of the Coachella Valley reaching almost 14,000 students in grades K-12 with performances geared to the appropriate grade levels.
