Star for Mark Wahlberg on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Mark Wahlberg has received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame:

"It really hasn't sunk in yet. I'm so busy with my day-to-day responsibilities and certainly always thinking about, what's next that I haven't really had time to reflect on what got me here until today and it's pretty special," the rapper-turned-actor and producer said.

He added: "Obviously I feel very fortunate, very blessed. There's no sense of entitlement when it comes to me, all the appreciation in the world, and just so grateful for the opportunities that I've had. I've worked hard for it but obviously I've been very blessed."

Mark, 39, first became famous for his music in the early nineties as Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. He went on to become a underwear model for Calvin Klein and starred in movies including Renaissance Man, Boogie Nights and The Departed, for which he was Oscar nominated.

He is also a co-producer on the massive US show Entourage and will next be seen opposite Will Ferrell in the upcoming action-comedy The Other Guy.

Will was at the ceremony with Mark and jokingly confused his co-star with fellow action star, Matt Damon:

"I first became a fan from his workout video back in the early 90's. I loved him in all the "Bourne" movies. Just the best."
