US rapper Talib Kweli: I don't trust any govt!

American rapper Talib Kweli is known for taking a strong stance on social and political issues. His latest album Reflection Eternal's "Revolutions Per Minute" [link: http://www.myspace.com/reflectioneternal] tackles issues such as Arizona's controversial immigration law and negative impact the oil industry has had around the world. Talib sat down with RT to share his views on the pressing political issues of the day. He says that music can do more with one song than a politician with twenty speeches - and believes that real change won't come to America until the old guard politicians like John McCain and Jan Brewer "die off." "Their time is up and they are just grasping at whatever they can grasp, with ethnic studies and SB 1070 [Arizona's immigration law]. These things that make no sense but they make perfect sense for that mentality and that mentality is on its way out," says Kweli.
