Facebook Revises Privacy Settings

Facebook has announced newer, simpler privacy controls on its social networking website on Wednesday, following increasing opposition from members, who say the privacy settings put their personal information at risk.

The backlash has even prompted a “Quit Facebook Day” on May 31, where members plan to deactivate their accounts en masse.

Facebook says the new controls will give users simpler privacy choices, ending the controversy surrounding the website's security settings.
