Ronnie James Dio, A Tribute

Ronnie James Dio (July 10, 1942 May 16, 2010) was a legend with an amazing voice stage personality. He started his music career in the band 'Elf' and soon formed the band 'Rainbow.'

In 1979, following the departure of Ozzy Osbourne from Black Sabbath, Dio became the band's vocalist and stayed until 1982, completing Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules and Live Evil, and later Dehumanizer (1992) and "The Dio Years" (2006)

After Black Sabbath, Dio formed his own band, 'Dio' with the former Sabbath drummer, Vinny Appice. This band released 10 albums between 1983 and 2004.

In 2005, Ronnie got together with the personell involved in his first Sabbath release 'Heaven and Hell,' and formed the band, Heaven and Hell.

Dio died at 7:45 am (CDT) on May 16, 2010, age 67
