Now this is a Holiday weekend, filmed 2 days after Thanksgiving and usually this time of year is one of the busiest for Amtrak, and since lots more are traveling from Seattle to Portland by train, Amtrak decided that additional train would help and that it did, but many trains used P42DCs leading & maybe a Cascades F59PHI and some trains used regular Talgo sets altogether. This first one is just a regular Cascades train #501 running daily through Kelso. The southbound is first and is one it's usual main #2. Next up as it arrives is train #502, the additional Cascades for Seattle and with 4 Amfleet cars and is led by #168, and this unit has been sighted to be the first P42DC filmed with an Electronic bell(E-Bell) and the E-Bells will be replacing all M-Bells on evry Amtrak P42DC by sometime in 2010.
