Scientists in Berlin have developed a mobile laboratory to keep an eye on the health of relief workers deployed in disaster areas. The equipment is designed to help detect dangerous levels of stress in staff dealing with fires, floods and other high-pressure situations.Numerous sensors monitor heart rate, blood pressure and the temperature of inner organs. The sensors sound the alarm when relief workers are close to reaching the limits of their capabilities.
