Welcome to E. Carroll Joyner Park

E. Carroll Joyner Park is one of Wake Forest’s most treasured resources. Located just minutes from the heart of town, the park serves as a natural oasis, an important source of green space, and an integrated ecosystem where humans and nature interact. Distinguished by its large menu of recreational activities and its natural beauty, the park is a popular place to picnic, play a favorite sport, and wander along the seemingly endless trails. Construction of the site began in May of 2008, and the park officially opened to the public on August 1st 2009. Attention to detail and commitment to innovative planning, spurred Joyner Park's transformation from an old farm, to a beautifully crafted natural oasis.
