The smell of Eduscho coffee or Fa soap,the taste of Asbach-Uralt cognac or Trumpf chocolate. When East Germans received visits from friends and relatives from the West,they usually hoped their guests would come bearing treats from the other Germany. Now Berlin-based writer Jutta Voigt casts a glance back at this Cold War tradition in her book «Westbesuch» ( Visit from the West ).
