An elderly woman was killed while two other people were injured after the car they were in skidded and plunged into a ravine at KM81, Jalan Kota Bharu - Gua Musang (Bukit Ah Kim) on Saturday (March 15).

00:06into a ravine at kilometre 81 Jalan Kota Baru, Guamusang, near Bukit Akim on Saturday.
00:13Kuala Krai District Police Chief Superintendent Mazlan Mamat said the 72-year-old woman, who
00:19was seated in the back, died at the scene.
00:22The driver, a 21-year-old man, and the front passenger, a 52-year-old woman, sustained
00:28injuries and were taken to Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital for treatment.
00:33Preliminary investigations indicate that the car was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Pasir
00:38Mas when it lost control and crashed into the ravine at around 1.40pm.
00:44The victim's body was sent to the hospital's forensics unit for an autopsy.
00:48The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act.
