00:00No, a German pilot wasn't fired for refusing to spray chemtrails.
00:09A clip spreading on social media supposedly shows a German pilot suing his previous employers
00:14for unfair dismissal after he refused to release chemtrails during a flight.
00:19The chemtrail conspiracy theory is a long-running, factually incorrect claim that the vapour
00:23trails that planes leave in the sky are actually chemtrails, containing harmful chemicals that
00:28the elite uses to control the general public.
00:31The viral video takes the form of a news package in which a journalist reports on the pilot
00:36who claims Lufthansa fired him for refusing to drop harmful substances on the Europeans
00:41below.
00:42Because of his actions, Lufthansa got in trouble with secret world governments and had to pay
00:46millions of euros in fines for breaking their contractual chemtrail obligations, according
00:51to a so-called expert in the report.
00:54The video is often shared with captions claiming that it's proof the elite wants to fumigate
00:58and manipulate the public.
01:00This post in particular has been seen more than half a million times as of the time of
01:04this report and it's been shared in other languages too.
01:08Nevertheless, none of what it claims is true.
01:14A reverse image search for one of the frames in the video directs us to where it originally
01:19comes from, a German website called Der Postillon.
01:22You can see that a watermark in the video also matches up with Der Postillon's logo.
01:27If you scroll down to the website's FAQ page, the first question asks whether the content
01:32produced by Der Postillon is true.
01:34The answer explicitly states that everything found on the site is satire and a blatant
01:39lie.
01:40Every character that appears is fictional and any resemblance to living people is purely
01:44coincidental, the website says.
