TCU returned to Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday and secured bowl eligibility with a 38-13 win over Oklahoma State, something that they came up short of just last season.

The Horned Frogs came out strong, building a 24-0 lead by halftime and maintaining their intensity throughout. TCU’s defense, which has struggled at times this season, stepped up with three takeaways—its first since the 51-45 College Football Playoff Semifinal win over Michigan in 2022. They successfully contained Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman, holding him to just 141 passing yards despite the Cowboys trailing for most of the game.

On offense, TCU utilized a variety of playmakers. Savion Williams scored twice, once on a 1-yard run and again on a 6-yard reception. Quarterback Josh Hoover completed 26 of 35 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.

JP Richardson, facing his former team, was a standout with 100 receiving yards on seven catches. Richardson transferred to TCU this season after spending two years at Oklahoma State.

Running back Cam Cook added two rushing touchdowns, and Jordyn Bailey capped the scoring with a 59-yard run. TCU’s ground game was especially effective, a significant improvement for a unit that has struggled for much of the season.

The Horned Frogs head into a bye week before closing out their home schedule on November 23 against Arizona, aiming to build on this momentum.
