00:48This is in line with the advocacy of the government to protect the interests of national security,
00:53public safety, maintaining public order, and upholding the rule of law.
00:58Especially in the study of the Finance Department,
01:00POGO activities have a negative effect, such as the increase of crime,
01:04exploitation of some individuals,
01:07which becomes heavier than the economic and social benefits that the country gets from the POGO industry.
01:13Under the Executive Order,
01:15the Technical Working Group on Employment Recovery and Reintegration will be formed
01:19to respond to the effects of the closure of POGOs.
01:23It is led by PAG-COR and DOLE.

01:36as well as to investigate and respond to those involved in the offshore gaming industry.
01:41The President ordered PAOK, PDEA, PNP, and other law enforcement agencies
01:46to further strengthen their operations against illegal POGOs.

01:53to stop operating activities in subdivisions, condominiums, and other real estate developments,
02:01as well as in tourism establishments and facilities that are monitored by the DOT.

02:11were urged to support the implementation of the so-called EO.
02:14PAG-COR was also ordered to follow the President's Directive
02:17regarding the immediate elimination of POGOs and IGLs in the country.
02:21House Speaker Martin Lumualdez supported the President's mandate and insisted
02:26that this action is anchored in the action being carried out by the Camera
02:29to discuss illegal activities connected to POGOs.
02:33Senator Winga Chalyan also recognized the President's firm position on POGOs.
02:38She said that this is just a proof of the government's commitment to ensure the safety of the public.
