London’s Hamleys Toy Store reveals Christmas window decorations

This year Wicked and Paddington Bear feature in the windows of the iconic toy store.

00:14energy, Hamleys is drawing crowds eager to experience the magic of the season. Outside

00:20the store there's a buzz of excitement, people gather around the windows, some stopping

00:25to take photos with Hamleys Bear, who's back in his Christmas gear, adding to the

00:30fun. Elves are dancing on the street and the sound of Christmas carols drifts through Regentry

00:37in London, courtesy of a traditional caroler adding to the festive mood. Anyone who's

00:43ever stepped inside Hamleys knows it's not just any old toy store. With its history dating

00:48back to 1760, Hamleys is one of the world's oldest and most famous toy stores in the world.

00:57Across seven floors, it's packed with every kind of toy you can imagine, from the latest

01:02trends to timeless classics. It's a place where families can explore, discover and enjoy

01:07the magic of play, no matter their age. Inside the latest windows, this year's displays are

01:14sure to capture everyone's attention. One features the world of Wicked celebrating the

01:20new movie, bringing the characters of Oz to life in colour through a theatrical display.

01:27And then next door on the other side is Paddington Bear, ahead of the new movie Paddington in

01:32Peru and that is also spreading Christmas cheer, filling the window with his signature

01:36charm and playful spirit. Between dances, elves outside were also offering members of

01:43the public Haribo and as it got to five o'clock, crowds really increased. Then there was a

01:48countdown to reveal what the windows looked like.
