00:00Let's update on the weather with the weather presenter of GMA Integrated News Weather Center, Amor La Rosa. Amor!
00:13Thank you, Sir Emil.
00:14Be alert, especially as two typhoons are being monitored inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:22The first typhoon inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is the Hener typhoon
00:27which is the reason why a large portion of Northern and Central Luzon is under the wind signal.
00:33The number one signal is high in Cagayan, along with Babuyan Islands,
00:37as well as Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Calinga, Abra, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and also in Benguet.
00:45The number one signal is also here in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Aurora,
00:54as well as in the northern portion of Quezon, along with Polilio Island.
00:58It is expected that strong winds and heavy rains will occur in the next few hours, especially as the Hener typhoon approaches.
01:07The last sight of the Hener typhoon is 290 kilometers away from the coast of Tuguegarao City.
01:13This is due to the strong winds reaching 55 kilometers per hour and a strong storm of 70 kilometers per hour.
01:21It moves northwards at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.
01:26If it does not change its course, it may hit or landfall here in Isabela or Aurora this evening or later in the morning.
01:37It will also cross the land of Luzon and tomorrow morning or in the afternoon, it may be in Baibay, La Union, or Pangasinan.
01:47It will continue to move in the West Philippine Sea until it leaves the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning.
01:58The storm that is outside Par is the tropical storm with the international name of Pulasan.
02:04The last sight of it is 2,190 kilometers away from the coast of Central Luzon.
02:10It is currently moving west-northwest at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour.
02:17Tomorrow evening, it may enter inside Par and we will call it the Helen typhoon.
02:24Just like the Ferdi typhoon that struck last week, it will only land on one side of Par and we do not expect it to hit any part of our country.
02:37It may also be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday.
02:42If the Philippine Area of Responsibility continues to slow down and the fast-moving typhoon Pulasan continues to move,
02:49the two typhoons may still reach the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
02:55But if not, it will still hit Hanging Habagat or Southwest Monsoon.
03:01Based on the data of Metro Weather, most of Luzon, including Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and Central Luzon,
03:10where you can see the heavy rains are concentrated.
03:14We expect that landslides may occur here.
03:19We expect that there is a chance of rain here in Calabarzon and also here in Mimaropa,
03:26especially in the Palawan and Mindoro provinces.
03:30So be careful and be alert, especially if you have been raining for several days because of the typhoon Habagat.
03:36There are also rains in Visayas, like here in Panay Island, Negros Island Region,
03:42and the heavy rains that will be experienced there for almost the whole day.
03:47The rains are also possible here in the eastern Visayas and up to the central portions of Visayas,
03:53including Cebu and Buhol.
03:56There are also heavy rains here in Mindanao.
03:59We expect that in Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and several parts of Caraga and Sok Sargen.
04:07But as night falls, the rains will gradually decrease.
04:11Here in Metro Manila, there is also a chance of rain again,
04:15especially in the afternoon or at night, so don't forget to bring an umbrella.
04:21It will be very dangerous here in the areas below Signal No. 1
04:27and also in the areas affected by Habagat's winds,
04:31including Mimaropa, Southern Luzon, and some towns here in Visayas and in some parts of Mindanao.
04:41Aside from the Henner and Helen typhoons,
04:45there are two more typhoons that may occur here in our park in the next few days or weeks.
04:54You can see it here on our map.
04:56It will be here in the northeastern portion and also in the northwestern portion of the West Philippine Sea.
05:04For now, the chance is low to moderate.
05:07It will develop as a typhoon.
05:09But since this is still far away, this is the September 23 to 29 period,
05:15so we will continue to monitor the changes in the next few days.
05:21And here is the latest in our time.
05:23I am Amor La Rosa.
05:25This is the GMI Integrated News Weather Center.
05:28Expect any time.
