00:00It is caught! Touchdown!
00:04The New England Patriots select Drake May.
00:08He's got the ball! And that's the ball game!
00:12The boys are back again, the All-32 pod with you
00:16as we head into Week 2. Mike Giardi, Will Parkinson alongside
00:20Will, once again a really good slate. I was going through it, we're trying to separate
00:24like, what are the games we want to concentrate on and what are the games that we just want to
00:28kind of brush through and there weren't too many games that I wanted to brush through
00:32which again tells you sort of the intrigue of the early part of the NFL schedule.
00:36Yeah, even the games I feel like that are probably lesser than on the schedule this week
00:40are still either divisional games or games of teams that do have some type of playoff
00:44aspirations. Obviously coming off a Thursday night game, a lot less exciting
00:48than the Thursday night game we got a week ago.
00:52Yeah, for sure. A reminder, this show brought to you by PrizePix, the exclusive
00:56fantasy partner of the CLNS Media Network. And game time,
01:00best tickets, best prices to get you in to see any event that you want to see.
01:04I said at the beginning of every show, Will and I use these things. We stand behind them.
01:08They're excellent. And with that, let's get right into
01:12Bills and Dolphins. My son texted me last night before the
01:16game. He's a freshman in college. He texts me and he goes, I got bills tonight. I'm like,
01:20I'm always leery, a little leery. Buddy, I've taken the
01:24the road team on a Thursday night. You just, you know, they're beat up. Buffalo's got some issues.
01:28You know, you got Josh Allen with the big glove on his hand, etc.
01:32And as we were talking through it, then I was like, but you know what? I just got a feeling that
01:36Josh and the Bills are going to continue their mastery of the Dolphins. And my
01:40goodness, Will, what an absolute beating. We'll get to the two
01:44injury, but just in terms of what the product was on the field.
01:48I mean, one sided is one side. It could be. Yeah.
01:52The Bills Dolphins is, I believe it's 12 out of 13. Now the only
01:56one was two years ago. I believe we too, and that like the
02:00bills ran like I think like 95 offensive plays and they only scored 20 points.
02:04They got stopped down there on the goal line and things like that. So, you know, all that
02:08aside, like they've owned this matchup, Josh Allen's own to a quote
02:12unquote and McDermott's had McDaniel's number and we've seen playoff games. We've seen
02:16games to get in the playoffs. We've seen primetime. We saw we've seen all of it.
02:20I would say the thing that stood out the most last night is
02:24Buffalo's super banged up. I mean defensively. He's the one
02:28drive. Miami looks good. We saw no Mount Milano stood out quite evidently. And then
02:32Terrell Bernard goes down trail, but he's budding star for them. Yeah, then
02:36he goes out. So there's a lot there that was concerning. I guess
02:40for that one drive from Buffalo's perspective, but other than that, they pushed him around. I thought Miami
02:44abandoned the run far too quickly. They should have gone heavy personnel and just tried to beat
02:48Buffalo up inside. They kind of got away from that thrown routes
02:52to third force fifth string receivers. Tyreek was weird
02:56last night. Like he kept taking himself off the field over after one play taking myself off.
03:00They'd get a lot of the bullets on to obviously makes multiple
03:04really bad decisions. I thought everyone's kind of giving Robbie Anderson all or Robbie
03:08chosen. I apologize all the blame on that one. And yes, he did slip but like that ball was air
03:12mailed no matter what I don't it doesn't matter who it was Tyreek's a lot smaller than
03:16than Robbie chosen. So I don't know that that would have gone in Tyreek's hands either.
03:20Obviously the pick six was horrendous in the game was out of hand, but you know Miami
03:24couldn't stop Buffalo either Jalen Ramsey getting beat by you know, Ty Johnson for
03:28a 30-yard plate like there was just Miami's been
03:32now at home back-to-back weeks and for outside of that fourth quarter
03:36the ETN fumble through the fourth quarter the other seven quarters. They've looked
03:40really bad on both sides of the football. The offense hasn't gotten going
03:44now. Obviously the looming to injury is a huge question mark and we'll get to that in a moment, but
03:48I just felt like overall. I don't really understand
03:52kind of what their plan is when they go to play Buffalo. It feels like they abandon
03:56the run every time so quickly and I feel like that's their biggest advantage. We watched in jets
04:00Niners that like this schemes really hard to prepare for and these defenses that sit in zone,
04:04you know, there's there's lighter boxes. So go
04:08attack it. I just I was frustrated by McDaniel last night because I felt like
04:12when they were pounding the ball early on a chain Etc and then they were just
04:16throwing the ball to guys that again, not the Tyreek some of the world
04:20that and then three turnovers, you're never going to win a game against Buffalo like that. Yeah,
04:24it makes you wonder sometimes like look McDaniel has obviously done a nice job there,
04:28but they haven't gotten over the hump. There's a lot of pressure. I think I mentioned this Tyreek Hill
04:32said coming out of training camp. This is the best team we've had since we've been
04:36there, but sometimes it feels like and you brought it up
04:40up like getting away from the run as early as they did that they're trying to do it with style
04:44points more than they're just trying to say some of our guys are just better than
04:48your guys and we're going to win that way and sometimes that means to your point
04:52running the football and not launching it all over the place and having these cute
04:56little underhand flicks and all these different things that they like to add to their offense, which
05:00again, it's it's wonderful when it's working, but when it's not you just say to yourself
05:04what's your I what when you have to be a power football
05:08team can you be a power football team and we saw last night
05:12as the game wore on. It's just not something that they're they're they're committed to
05:16doing and right now feel like they have the personnel to do. Yeah. I don't want to be super
05:20negative as if Buffalo didn't play really well last night. I thought they were really good at the line of scrimmage. I thought they
05:24tackled. Well, good eye discipline as I mentioned. I think they benefited from Miami
05:28some bad turnovers, you know different things of that nature, but Josh Allen
05:32when you need 129 yards and a touchdown didn't have to be you know
05:36Superman, although he made some obviously special plays. I just felt like they
05:40they really leaned on the run game. They exposed Miami and in that department and I thought it
05:44was a really well coach really well executed game Buffalo. I don't think they were
05:48particularly great last week, especially in the first half, but going forward, you know, they've
05:52now built themselves a comfortable, you know game lead and you know, we'll
05:56see obviously how this season unfolds, but I think you know that week six matchup
06:00circled with the Jets as the you know, especially with the news with the with
06:04Tua right now and it feels like the biggest game on Buffalo's schedule for the next
06:08month or a month and a half. Mike obviously Tua
06:12getting hurt last night. It's it's the fourth concussion. I believe in the last
06:16what 24 months fourth or fifth. I guess that since back they've been back to college
06:20to has been injury prone throughout his career in Alabama.
06:24I think he'd what the five surgeries before he got to the NFL and obviously
06:28struggle with injuries coming into the NFL when he's in the NFL and the concussions are obviously
06:32much different than you know, even the hip injury, which was so crazy when that happened. I feel like we
06:36gloss over that injury back to college. The Bo Jackson injury
06:40last night was scary from the aspect it and I mean
06:44this with all seriously. I guy
06:48very much respect the seriousness of it other than the Bengals one. It feels
06:52like his other concussions. We've witnessed in the last couple years have been
06:56not massive the massive targeting headshots
07:00not the receiver going over the middle of the quarterback going to slide in his head getting
07:04destroyed or any of those type of things. The punt returner the ones you know, you see
07:08on YouTube and Twitter that go viral. These are especially last night
07:12a very normal tackle. If anything kind of a not a great
07:16tackle by tomorrow and when he kind of just like took the took the shot, you know to his chest a little bit
07:20and the whiplash from Tua seems to be where these things unfortunately seem
07:24to occur and obviously the posting or whatever it's called, you know, when every
07:28kind of sees up there. Yeah, obviously it's
07:32whenever it happens. It's scary. I think it just from my perspective. It was unfortunate
07:36is the head seem to be less and less severe
07:40and the reaction seem to continue to get more severe and I think that's what's really scary
07:44for you know, what 26 27 year old now who's experiencing this. It
07:48seems like over and over in a year after he just played a whole season, which was so amazing to see
07:52gets the well-deserved contract just that it sucked.
07:56It was it was a bad game, but it sucked to see that is the result of last night. Yeah
08:00to your point. It was sort of an innocuous play. You just
08:04I mean, how many times do we see that that hit in the course of the game and hits
08:08on quarterbacks like that or get out of the pocket Herbstreet Kirk Herbstreet
08:12brought up something on the broadcast that I don't know if he's gotten crap for but I know how
08:16Society works these days and I wouldn't be surprised if he did but I agree with him a hundred
08:20percent in that he said sometimes Tua gets a little reckless and doesn't
08:24do a great job of protecting himself and remember that was the whole thing
08:28going into last year about the doing the jujitsu and like learning
08:32to fall and all these different things like how to protect yourself and he put on more
08:36weight, which obviously this year he's taken off because he wanted to be more mobile, but
08:40that's not why the injury happened, but I do think that for someone
08:44with his history. Just gotta be smarter
08:48slide protect yourself tuck your chin
08:52like and and I also have friends say like why doesn't he why doesn't he wear the
08:56Guardian cap? I'm not sure that the Guardian cap does what people
09:00think it does. I also know that it's heavy and it's hot
09:04which I think is why you see a lot of players who had to wear it in the
09:08preseason as mandated by the league during practices and whatnot who aren't wearing it
09:12in games because it's just not comfortable imagine wearing something that's
09:16going to contain the heat in your helmet on a night when it's 80 something degrees
09:20with 85% humidity like and again, you can say like look man. He's got
09:24this history should just do it. Well. Yeah. He also doesn't want to like get sick. It's
09:28just it's a whole it's a whole thing. It's really unfortunate and now
09:32you know, I appreciate Mike McDaniel saying basically like
09:36we're not we're not putting a timetable on this. Don't ask me, you know people are asking me
09:40if you should give up the game. That's not his decision. That's two and his family's decision
09:44to make and that's always the overreaction in the immediate near aftermath of one of
09:48these things, but he's just basically like he's got to go home. He's going to
09:52be with his family. He's going to be as I think he said he's going to be the captain of his family right now
09:56and he's going to rest and get better and then we'll talk about what the next
10:00step is and I think that was a good sort of pump the brakes everyone
10:04like yes, we're upset. He was McDaniel many of the
10:08to his teammates were very emotional about it, but it's also like don't go
10:12ahead of yourself. Now. Let's just calm down. Let's figure this out
10:16and as he gets better, the conversations will get more serious about what he's
10:20going to do. Yeah, I just I don't think and I don't mean to be condescending. I just
10:24don't think that any of our places to tell to what he should do is retire. Don't worry.
10:28Hey, I can't honestly I can't stand it like he's a grown man
10:32and if he this is what he wants to do. This is
10:36what he loves to do and if and if he gets clearance to come back and he wants
10:40to come back keep your mouth shut. Let him come back. That's yeah. That's his
10:44deal. Yeah, like I appreciate like I'm you know Matt and Bart Scott both had kind of vulnerable
10:48moments and Matt is really closer to us. So to me, it means a little bit more just in the aspect
10:52of like he knows him and in different stuff like that, but I just don't think this needs
10:56to be. I think we need to focus on what we need to focus on and try not to like
11:00do this declarative statements one way or another like
11:04it's less than 24 hours 12 hours ago. Really like let's just
11:08let him let's let to get back to being fully
11:12right and cleared to even do any type of that physical activity before we start to
11:16do the whole what you should do. Yeah. What do you what so they
11:20have said Skylar Thompson they will move. They're going to add a veteran quarterback, but Skylar
11:24Thompson will be the starter. Of course he came in last night as the backup.
11:28What do you think they should do if this is something that
11:32takes a while if we're talking about a four or six weeks eight weeks
11:36situation here again, we're not putting timetables on it, but as a team they
11:40have to think about how they approach the quarterback position here in the short term.
11:44Yeah, I thought a lot about in terms of you know different options. You know you've seen
11:48I think Adam Beasley of I think Pro Football Network suggested potentially
11:52Jimmy Garoppolo and you know we've seen Mike White was in the system.
11:56Do they bring him back? I know I think he's in the bills in a practice squad. Is it
12:00you know looking for you know, I don't know moving and move for all these
12:04different quarterbacks, right? You know Bailey's a piece of the world these different guys that like
12:08how they have starting experience. The one that kind of came to mind is Matt Jones.
12:12I know Patriots fans will probably laugh at my laugh at the suggestion,
12:16but you know some of these guys played with some of these guys played with
12:20two obviously and you know played with Jalen Waddell and
12:24familiar with the division. A lot of starting experience quite durable
12:28as well. Probably see functions a lot better in that timing. Kind of get the
12:32ball out. Pro style kind of quarterback. Very similar just in terms of like
12:36Matt Jones. Bigger things were accuracy and you know pocket
12:40awareness. Things like that. Obviously it dwindles a lot in New England at the end, but looked like he
12:44found himself a bit Jacksonville Jacksonville. Obviously with CJ Beathard Matt Jones
12:48and Trevor Lawrence that there's been there a lot. Obviously and you know they
12:52trust him more than Mac will see on those different types of things wouldn't cost a lot. I think for Miami
12:56it just seems like is that maybe a play where like hey if two is at six weeks
13:00eight weeks. I don't know is the effort a year who knows. Teams
13:04have made the playoffs with Matt Jones at quarterback obviously so that's just
13:08a name to me. I don't know what he calls the fifth round pick six round pick
13:12Jimmy's going to cost more and he's way less durable and I don't even know that he's better than
13:16Matt Jones. So Matt Jones to me is the name that like if I was Miami
13:20that's who I would look to to make a potential move for it.
13:24It's an interesting one. Obviously we've heard Brady's name get brought up because there are
13:28a lot of people that just want Brady back in the game. I don't. Obviously there was a
13:32pursuit that led to Brian Flores and his issues in Miami with
13:36Brady pursuing Brady and Flores not wanting to
13:40make a legal contact with Brady. Curious if he's interested. I know he's sort of hinted
13:44at various points. Maybe he would be Ryan Tannehill is another name that's been out there and
13:48even more so this week with the Jordan love stuff and would Green
13:52Bay want to go that route. Does Tannehill fit that though. Does he
13:56fit that McDaniels offense. I don't know that he does. I just think
14:00he holds the ball forever. Yes. I just think you're looking
14:04at that point like we want a veteran with some experience and yeah
14:08signing him versus giving up a pick I guess. Right exactly. So again we'll see
14:12we're getting ahead of ourselves but that's something that I'm sure they're having conversations about
14:16in the Miami offices right now. Could you go
14:20from Dallas because that dude just wins football games. I bet you Trey Lance is available.
14:24If you want to make a memory you gotta go to game time.
14:28All right. Game time has a new feature called game time picks
14:32that makes getting tickets to see your favorite teams play live even
14:36easier. Game time picks filters out the fluff to show you all the incredible
14:40deals in the great seats so you don't have to waste time searching through thousands of
14:44seats. You've got the super deal. Don't forget about the super deal
14:48and curated deals. They make it easier to find the best price on great seats and
14:52I think this is so cool is when you you click on the ticket right
14:56you go to the app. If you want to go to a game in Boston you want to go to a game in New York
15:00or Philadelphia whatever you go to the city and you click on the game you want to go to
15:04and then they just show you a great easy to read layout
15:08of the stadium and then you click on the seat you want and then you get a view of the seat
15:12right from there. Boom. You know what you're buying so you get
15:16seat views before you buy and they have the lowest price guarantee, a bank cancellation
15:20protection, job loss. It's terrific.
15:24Toggling. Toggling here with the game time app. Now this feature shows
15:28the total upfront no surprise fees at checkout so you know what
15:32you're dealing with. You don't click on the button after and you go wait a minute what's that extra 20 bucks for?
15:36Also game time will credit you 110%
15:40of the difference for the lowest price guarantee.
15:44They have the lowest price guarantee or game time will credit you up to 100% of the difference
15:48and your purchase is covered with the most flexible customer service policy
15:52in the ticketing industry.
15:56Take the guesswork of buying tickets with game time. Download the game time app

16:04off your first purchase. Terms apply. Again, create an account and redeem the code
16:08CLNS for $20 off. Download game time
16:12today. What time is it? Game time.
16:16And that leads us to the week 2 slate. We'll start
16:20in Dallas. Saints 1-0. Cowboys 1-0.
16:24And for me, Cowboys are favored
16:28in this game by 6. New Orleans, there's been a little
16:32frisky, there's been a buzz about New Orleans. From the people that cover New Orleans
16:36Nick Andreal does a great job covering that team and I've talked to Nick a little bit
16:40and just saying like Clint Kubiak is the new offensive coordinator and
16:44it just feels like maybe just maybe they found some answers
16:48to solve their offensive inconsistency. Derrick Carr looked fantastic
16:52albeit against the Carolina Panthers, arguably the worst football team in the league.
16:56He was pressured on just 12% of his dropbacks in that Saints game.
17:00So can this offensive line with Fuaga, the rookie
17:04first rounder at one tackle and Trevor Penning who has been a major
17:08league disappointment thus far but had a solid opening game
17:12at the other tackle spot, can they protect Carr? Because if they can't
17:16we're going to see the old Derrick Carr seeing ghosts, throwing the ball to the other team
17:20or just you know it's third and 12 and I'm going to take the two yard check down because
17:24I don't want to throw an interception or I don't want to get hit and we've seen
17:28that story play out before but again with Kubiak maybe there's more
17:32comfort there. Maybe it plays better into his strengths. It certainly did in week
17:36one. I have a hard time believing New Orleans is going to go in there
17:40against Dallas, against that defense. Micah Parsons
17:44they had last game against Cleveland six sacks and 24
17:48pressures against Cleveland. I could see that being a massive
17:52problem for New Orleans in this game. Yeah, this kind of screams
17:56let down game for the Panthers. Division game, a lot of pressure on them. Hey, you got to
18:00get that one against Carolina opening week. They blow them out.
18:04It's all hunky-dory. Everyone doesn't hate Derrick Carr anymore.
18:08Dennis Allen's a great coach. The defense isn't old. Look at what they did to Bryce Young.
18:12Dallas, I thought, played like a C plus level game
18:16and blew the doors off of Cleveland in Cleveland.
18:20They're going home. I think it's another full week of no distractions.
18:24It actually feels like Dallas is in a good place. Dax's contract is taken care of.
18:28CD Lamb's back in the mix. Obviously, it looks quite good.
18:32Another week under Mike Zimmer. This feels like Mike Zimmer versus Derrick Carr is a
18:36bad recipe for Derrick Carr. I think the Saints defense will keep this
18:40a competitive football game for large portions.
18:44Again, I think Dallas is not the team they were in the last couple years in terms of
18:48just overall talent. Mike Zimmer versus Derrick Carr, I'm going to get
18:52Mike Zimmer as a defense coordinator. I'm going to take Mike Zimmer all day. I think Dallas wins this game
18:56and I actually think this is a game where you go, yeah, were we right to think New Orleans is an 8-win
19:00team and Dallas is a 10-win team or 7-win team, whatever it is.
19:04This feels like a classic. People are going to go, ooh, the Saints are sneaky
19:08sweet. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.
19:12That's it for me. If the Saints go in there and play well or somehow manage the upset,
19:16okay, now the conversation advances to what the people
19:20who watched them closely during training camp sort of felt about them, particularly on offense,
19:24but if it doesn't, we're back to the same old place. Well, it's Derrick Carr.
19:28How far can you go with Derrick Carr? All right, let's go to
19:32Bucks at Lions. Lions favored by a touchdown.
19:36Obviously coming off a thrilling Sunday night game victory in overtime
19:40over the Rams. That was a heavyweight fight. For me,
19:44again, I'm looking at the visiting team here because I think when we talked about in the preview,
19:48I said, can Baker Mayfield, who's been good of three of the seven years he's been in the league,
19:52including last year, his first year in Tampa, is he that guy
19:56or is he the guy who continues to go back and regress and teams are looking to replace
20:00him as opposed to getting at least a healthy short-term
20:04contract extension with Tampa. But he looked dangerous. Again, much like with Derrick
20:08Carr, it was against an inferior opponent. They were playing Washington, but
20:12he moved well in the pocket. He and Mike Evans
20:16have a, I mean, everybody seems to have a pretty good relationship with Mike Evans in terms of
20:20especially around the goal line, getting him the football. Can they hold up
20:24against a physical Lions team that Aiden Hutchinson,
20:28again, you want to talk about pressures, Aiden Hutchinson had 11 pressures
20:32in the opener against the Rams. Granted, he was chewing up backup second and third
20:36string guys, but he's that kind of player and he's someone who can ruin
20:40a game and I'm just curious to see how the Bucs, their offensive line
20:44and Baker hold up against it on the road. Yeah, I'll be interested to see how this game
20:48kind of starts and finishes in terms of, kind of feels a little bit like
20:52we're going to get Bucs riding that high, Rams
20:56obviously playing the overtime late night game on Sunday
21:00and then I could see the Lions kind of maybe starting a little bit slower, Bucs kind of starting
21:04fast and the Lions grown into this football game a little bit. Kind of
21:08feels like the riding high momentum again kind of factor with Tampa and then
21:12kind of what we saw last year in the divisional round where it felt like good game, good game, but
21:16Detroit kind of outlasted them, just had more bodies, more physical, etc.
21:20I'll be interested to see how Detroit just responds in terms of
21:24again, the Rams play them really damn tough and we talked so much about that game.
21:28Again, physical football game, that back-to-back games at home
21:32it's that one o'clock window, these two teams played each other. The second to last time
21:36these two team starters were playing, they were playing against each other.
21:40I think this is a big, can Todd Bowles figure out a way to fluster Jared Goff?
21:44That's what it comes down to in the fourth quarter and can Baker avoid those
21:48one or two mistakes that he's done a good job of limiting, but
21:52he does have those in his game where when he starts to get really, really
21:56confident and play really well, it's kind of usually there's a little bit of a dip.
22:00I expect Detroit to kind of outlast them here. I think it'll be a good football game. This kind of feels
22:04like your classic 27-20, 27-23, but
22:08the game wasn't really, game was kind of over with five minutes
22:12left, but it's closer than it looks. I'm leaning Detroit here, but
22:16I do feel like this will be at least a good game, especially in the first half.
22:20Let's move on to the next one, Colts and Packers.
22:24This one is obviously very interesting because Jordan Love got hurt
22:28and the initial thought was Jordan Love is out three, six weeks,
22:32somewhere in that range. It's been 10 days since the injury that he suffered in Brazil
22:36to the MCL, and yet Matt LaFleur
22:40is probably just gamesmanship, but he's like, ah, it's a day-to-day.
22:44He's taking mental reps like he's going to play this week.
22:48I think it's BS. I think we're going to see Malik Willis, and then the question
22:52becomes, can LaFleur, who is respected as an offensive
22:56mind, obviously, can he find a way
23:00to get Malik Willis to play competent football because
23:04that's not how it went in Tennessee. Let's not forget that when he got the opportunity
23:08to play in Tennessee, they had to bench him for Josh Dobbs, who got there
23:12two minutes beforehand, and then Dobbs went out and ran the offense much more
23:16efficiently than Willis did, who had already been with the team and already
23:20allegedly knew the playbook. That, to me, is
23:24a fascinating part of this one. Obviously, for Green Bay, you lose
23:28the opener, and now you're likely without Jordan Love.
23:32Digging yourself a hole in that division and that
23:36conference, that's not what you're looking for. Starting 0-2
23:40would be a very bad thing, so I'm curious how LaFleur games this up
23:44to get his offense somewhere in the 20s because I think that's what it's going to take
23:48to win. Yeah, it'll be interesting. Gus Bradley game, we talked so much about
23:52his defense and not really adjusting much, kind of we are who we are.
23:56The Texans ran all over them, and if you're Green Bay, you go out and pay Josh Jacobs big money.
24:00You've got a solid offensive line. This is a
24:04we're going to run the football 40 times, try to keep this
24:08kind of rock fight a little bit and keep this in the teams maybe.
24:12Look, if you're expecting Malik, maybe Malik Willis has flashes on Sunday,
24:16but if you're expecting anything out of Malik Willis, I think you're
24:20severely mistaken a little bit based on some of that draft type.
24:24I'm not trying to be a dick. He does have a great arm, and he's a good
24:28athlete and all these different things, but the processing and things like that
24:32have been hard to watch, and that's why he's available for
24:36trade as a third, whatever, third pick two years later is available for trade
24:40the day before the season starts or whatever it is. This is going to have to get
24:44really creative, really gadgety, very Mike White versus the Bengals. I know it's a very
24:48different type of player, but it was very much like Jets were doing laterals and backpasses
24:52and quarterbacks running out routes and doing just crazy
24:56stuff to try to get manufacturer a win or two while their guys out.
25:00I'd be shocked if Jordan Love plays in the next couple weeks. I think this is a classic
25:04we want the Colts to prepare for him, but this is Anthony Richardson
25:08and I think Ryan Russo had a really good point on this. As special as those plays
25:12are, we talked about this on whatever Monday, there's five or six
25:16played in nine passes. If you're
25:20Green Bay, like Jared Alexander's a top five highest paid corner. This defense is
25:24what seven of 11 first round picks and new defensive coordinator and the whole thing
25:28like I just gave up 30 plus last week. Can you hold a team that
25:3220.17 points punch that run the rock a million
25:36different ways and try to get out of there with a scrappy
25:40disgusting win and then at least you're one and one and you're on the board
25:44and you're a week closer to Jordan Love returning and getting back to full health.
25:48I think this is a must win for the Colts. Dropping 0-2 in this conference is
25:52not great and on top of that, you are the fully healthy team.
25:56You are the team that's playing a backup quarterback and if that it's really a third string level quarterback
26:00you gotta get a win here and see more
26:04progression out of Richardson, more progression out of some of these young players and
26:08if I'm them, I'm taking chances because
26:12you feel like you can stop Malik Willis the whole rest of the game. Go get
26:16some of those Anthony Richardson big plays that turn into touchdowns, deep shots, etc.
26:20We saw Jared Alexander get beat by AJ Bratton last week.
26:24I would use Alec Pierce the way they used him last week and just say, hey dude, you're running 65
26:28win sprints. We'll get you the ball at some point. Go as far as you
26:32can as fast as you can. Another matchup of 0-1
26:36teams that both have expectations for this season
26:40that's the Browns and the Jags. Jags favored in this one
26:44Cleveland was so bad
26:48in that game and it sparked so much conversation about Deshaun Watson
26:52and how poorly he's played, which we've highlighted here, how little he's played and when he
26:56has played, how poorly he's played. They just moved money around again with him
27:00prior to the season. They're on the hook for a godly
27:04amount of cash with a quarterback who does not look anything like the
27:08guy that we saw in the COVID year and that's the last time he was any good in the COVID
27:12season. No completions over 15 yards against the Cowboys.
27:16One first down in the entire first half.
27:20Ben has a week where there's another lawsuit.
27:24There's a death in the family. There's just a mountain
27:28of stuff that continues to come his way and I keep thinking to myself
27:32when does Cleveland say, hey Jameis, warm up
27:36because you can't run your season into the ground
27:40and again the financial commitment is so huge but he
27:44hasn't played well and Jacksonville did play well
27:48until the very end of their game in Miami when they blew that
27:5217-7 lead. I have questions about the Jags
27:56which I've said here, particularly about Doug Peterson
28:00and the press Taylor offense and are they getting, are they utilizing
28:04their personnel the right way? What is their identity? I thought Trevor actually played
28:08well in Miami but again not a ton of throws, just 21 throws
28:12in that game so both teams 0-1. This one feels
28:16like Jim Schwartz is going to pull everything that he possibly has out of the bag
28:20because I think he knows he has to pull everything out of the bag because
28:24their offense is not capable of carrying their fair
28:28share of the load. Yeah, this is a, I think this game
28:32matters more for the Jags than the Browns and I say that just because I feel like
28:36the Jags would now be two conference
28:40losses already, two teams that they potentially could have tiebreakers with
28:44for wildcard spots, etc. I feel like there was moments where Trevor Lawrence looked
28:48quite good and there was moments where the team overall looked quite good and then they obviously
28:52collapsed in a pretty drastic way. I thought the O-line started to get
28:56kind of run over towards the end of that game. I thought defensively they weren't
29:00really stopping people.
29:04These two teams, we kind of know what the Browns are. I just don't really
29:08feel like we know what the Jags are at this point. We know they have flashes. Brian Thomas Jr.
29:12looked really good and we know at moments Etienne and Evan Ingram and
29:16Christian Kirk have shown flashes but
29:20what are they really? I just feel like for them you got to get it done because then they go up to
29:24Buffalo in 8 days time or 10 days time from now.
29:28Starting 0-3 would look quite bad. The Browns at least have the Giants coming in. The Cowboys were a
29:32non-conference loss. If you started 1-2 and you beat the Giants
29:36at least it's only one non-conference loss. Maybe quarterback starts to become a better
29:40issue there. This game and the Giants game we won't hit on the Giants
29:44team too much but these are the two games where quarterbacks getting benched is potentially already on the
29:48table. I know they're going to try to ride it out with Watson as
29:52much as they can in terms of him being the starter and who knows what's
29:56going to happen off this field and stuff. I don't know that Jameis is
30:00as good of an option. Stephancy kind of likes that
30:04boring type of quarterback but then again Flacco is a big time risk taker and
30:08did quite well with this team last year. While Nick Chubb
30:12is getting back healthy they got to just figure out a way. This defense also has got to
30:16really carry this team for the next couple weeks until they
30:20settle. This is one of those games where
30:24I feel like it's probably going to be quite ugly.
30:28I think the Jags need it a little bit more but both teams really start 1-2.
30:32It's not a recipe for success. No, it definitely is not. Let's move to
30:3649ers and Vikings. Niners favored by six.
30:40Sammy D, Sammy Darnold versus his former team. Yes, that one year
30:44he spent in San Francisco. We saw the Niners make the
30:48Jets one-dimensional on Monday night.
30:52If they make the Vikings one-dimensional and put it on Darnold
30:56for all the good vibes it feels like Sammy's going to put the ball in harm's way
31:00and that's going to make a massive difference in this game. I think the other thing that
31:04stands out to me is when they played last year and granted
31:08it was not Sam Darnold the quarterback
31:12but it was Brock Purdy. Minnesota and we know Flores loves to get after
31:16the quarterback. They averaged 11 yards against the Blitz
31:20last year. San Francisco did against the Vikings in that game.
31:24Does Flores learn from that and say, no, we're just going to rush four.
31:28You're not going to know where it's coming from but I'm not going to put myself in that position
31:32against this offense. This is a big Flores game.
31:36Got to be better prepared. I thought the Jets scheme-wise did a pretty poor
31:40job against the Niners on Monday night. We'll see what McAfee looks like.
31:44They're practicing in full pads but I wouldn't risk it.
31:48I said it last week and I thought it was a smart decision.
31:52They've already thrown the Achilles tendonitis thing on it now too so it's just like
31:56calf, ankle, now Achilles. He's the guy who usually recovers quite slow
32:00actually if you look back in the past where he's come back from hamstrings
32:04and what not. They need him for weeks 18
32:08I mean really 19 through to 23 or whatever it is. They don't need him
32:12this season clearly. The Niners will be a much bigger, Nick both had some
32:16interesting comments during the week. Said the Vikings are a much better team than the Jets are
32:20and it's a much harder game. It is what it is. Kevin O'Connell is going to need to put
32:24Sam Darnold in a lot of good situations. I think trying to not let Fred Warner
32:28wreck the game is something the Jets were not able to do.
32:32Aaron Jones has had success versus this Niners team. Is he able to, although he always seems
32:36to get hulked down and the team ends up losing the game and it happens in the playoffs
32:40the last couple of times he's played against the Niners but Justin Jefferson
32:44should have an advantage against any player. He didn't get the ball enough I thought on Sunday.
32:48Again, both teams coming off comfortable wins. It just, I feel like this is
32:52a game where you trust the Niners. That said, Minnesota played Brock Purdy
32:56about as good as you could play him last year and
33:00that was with Christian McCaffrey but that game, I don't know. Some of those games were like if you told me
33:04San Francisco loses, I could see the path but it feels
33:08like the smart choice on paper is definitely the Niners so I don't know.
33:12The Niners feel quite strong right now regardless of injury. Trent Williams, another game
33:16under his belt. IU should be in much better shape. As much as McCaffrey
33:20is a loss, Trent Williams looks like he's about 40 pounds heavier
33:24than he probably needs to be but still is amazing. He'll start to get back into full Trent Williams.
33:28When he was golfing, he was riding the card. He was not walking the course. I think
33:32that's pretty evident. Let's move on to Seahawks and Patriots. Both teams
33:36I wanna know. Patriots a home opener. Three-point dogs in the home opener.
33:40There's obviously a lot of good vibes based on their victory
33:44in week one upsetting Cincinnati. We know about Cincinnati's history in early
33:48season games under Zach Taylor. They're terrible. Never mind the Jamar Chase
33:52nonsense. No T Higgins in that game but whatever. The Patriots
33:56played some bully ball. They were the more physical team. They were the more
34:00well-prepared team. They didn't make mistakes in that game. Feels like
34:04we're gonna need the same formula against the Seahawks and not that I believe the Seahawks are a great
34:08team and obviously it's a difficult challenge for any West Coast team to come and
34:12play a 1 o'clock game. We're essentially waking up at like five in the morning your time and
34:16playing, you know, warming up at 7 o'clock and the whole nine yards.
34:20So, for me, all that stuff I look at, can the Patriots
34:24offensive line hold up against what Mike McDonald does?
34:28What he wants to do? Denver certainly couldn't do it and we know how
34:32well-regarded Sean Payton is as an offensive mind. There was
34:36a lot of pressure. Yes, he had a rookie quarterback back there. They struggled
34:40to run the football in that game. Patriots offensive line was not nearly as good
34:44as people try or continuing to try to make it out after week one. This
34:48is a far greater challenge for them and I'm just curious, can they do
34:52they're gonna have to do better because there are a lot of miscommunications
34:56and when you talk about the McDonald defense, this Ravens defense that he's brought to
35:00Seattle, it's about where the pressure is coming from. He's showing seven but
35:04only four are coming but they're not the four you expect and communication and
35:08following your rules has to be perfect for this offensive line that's still coming
35:12together and in the game against Cincinnati where I don't think
35:16Louie Annarumo went crazy in that game in terms of some of the stuff that he had dialed
35:20up. Basically, I think he kind of felt like you can't block Trey Hendrickson. He's gonna ruin the game
35:24for you and he almost did but I'm curious
35:28with the amount of free rushers they gave up in that first game. If now
35:32you're talking about a scheme that is predicated on that, is the
35:36communication, it's gonna have to be significantly better for them to
35:40have sort of a duplicate performance in terms of ground
35:44success and keeping Jacoby Brissett. I mean he had one sack
35:48but he was under pressure 52% of the time. That's not usually a good recipe
35:52for continued success going forward. Yeah, I was gonna go out
35:56on a limb and say that I think the Patriots start 2-0. My worry
36:00is that as you mentioned, I think you mentioned where Montrey got
36:04hit or whatever, whoever the running back at the time in each play was like 26 to 32 times
36:08by the line of scrimmage. I think pressured on 50 plus percent of snaps.
36:12I think that obviously in my opinion Cincinnati's
36:16defense talent wise especially up front is very good but
36:20and it's on the road and first game and there's a lot to be made of that.
36:24They're gonna need to be so good on defense, which I think they can
36:28be and they're a really good defense. Obviously, New England was a year ago.
36:32They've been forever. Look, the Broncos rushed for 4 yards
36:36a pop. They didn't get to run the ball enough. They were kind of what the Patriots
36:40offense was in a lot of ways where they just threw the ball 2 or 3 yards down the field and
36:44ran the football and tried to play. It's a close game.
36:48I feel like the biggest reason to kind of feel like New England wins
36:52this game is home opener, really well disciplined team. Can you get a turnover
36:56out of Geno or can you get something wonky? The two safeties last week
37:00were nuts. Special teams wise, the Patriots have been good in the past. Can they
37:04continue that? Obviously, you mentioned it's the 1 o'clock
37:08early season still. It's the weird. We just saw the Jets kind of go through
37:12where they look like today's gold in the beginning of that game. That was a night game, let alone
37:16obviously Seahawks coming here and warming up
37:205, 6 a.m. their time. McDonald, you would assume
37:24two first-time head coaches, both of whom's style kind of took over the game in both games.
37:28So credit to both coaches. Seattle's obviously more talented. They should
37:32win this game. They're probably looking at this as like a gimme.
37:36I also feel like New England's got two games in five
37:40days here that they probably feel like, can we steal one of these and start
37:442-1? Again, further emphasize Gerard Mayo, further emphasize
37:48some of these young players, Christian Gonzalez on DK, how much they
37:52kind of deploy him in man, how much they let him shadow him.
37:56I just think this is one of those games where I said it and I will
38:00pull up the receipts. I think the Dolphins, I said it before last night's
38:04game that it would be Buffalo 2-0, New England 2-0,
38:08Jets 1-1, Miami 1-1, Miami in last place based on a conference loss.
38:12I'm going to stick to it, but I just
38:16think we're getting 2-0 New England going up to MetLife or going down to MetLife in four
38:20days. I might be wrong and I might get Layne Lett lose by 30, but
38:24I don't know. I have a feeling that New England's going to be one of those spunky teams the first couple weeks
38:28and then the talent will take over as the season goes on. So when I had them preseason,
38:32before the season predictions 5-12, but
38:36this was a game I had them winning. So I'm sticking with it.
38:40Again, the roster is not good, but
38:44it's been a good start. I think they can finally get a win at home. They were 1-7,
38:48actually 1-8 if you want to count the Germany game because they were technically the home team at home
38:52last year. Start to build a culture of like, hey, we play well here. It's not easy
38:56to come here and play. Alright, prize picks. I mean, absolutely

40:16I got it done last week so you might want to listen to the end of the program
40:20to get those picks. Now let's move on to Jets and
40:24Titans. Jets favor by 3.5 points.
40:28I look at this game and say I was surprised at how well
40:32the 49ers ran the ball against the Jets.
40:36It took me by great surprise. I know Mosley went down and they just started
40:40to eat. Can Tony Pollard
40:44and Tajay Spears and the Titans do the same thing
40:48to this Jets defense or to the Jets defense say, look, that was just one bad week
40:52and we're back to business and we're back to being a top five
40:56defense like I expect them to be, like you expect them to be.
41:00I think the biggest key for the Jets is getting off the field. I thought defensively the game plan
41:04was off. I thought, frankly, outside of some Garrett
41:08Wilson, I don't think anybody on their team played well.
41:12Rogers was okay. Not one of their stars. Before the season
41:16they've got eight, nine guys who could be all pros this year, been all pros in the last
41:2036 months. Maybe one and a half of them played
41:24above a C-level game. That'll be a big thing.
41:28There was a little bit of a humbling that occurred last week
41:32or whatever, four or five days ago. That locker room knows long season.
41:36This is, again, a team that got a punch in the mouth by Baltimore two years ago
41:40with Joe Flacco and the company and then went on a run of six of seven against
41:44a far harder schedule than they have come up the next six weeks. That was with Zach Wilson
41:48and Joe Flacco, a quarterback. Teams under Robert Sala
41:52have started slow. They usually catch fire a little bit in the next six
41:56or seven weeks. This is a great place to start. They have four
42:00games they're favored by over the next four weeks. They've got to get
42:04back to doing what they're good at, rushing four, hitting the quarterback, tackling well, those linebackers
42:08flying around. Offensively, I think Aaron Rogers had what, 32
42:12or 38 snaps total. On Monday, they had defense
42:16on the field for 72. Rogers will look better, look more
42:20comfortable again. First game back on turf. The weather might be an issue, obviously
42:24with the hurricane stuff. It's supposed to pass by Sunday kickoff. We'll see.
42:28Jets got to run the football, pass pro, much improved from the last
42:3210 years, frankly. On Monday night, they couldn't run the football
42:36and I think Bruce Hall had 64 yards, 13 carries, but two of those were
42:40big runs. The rest were like one, two yards. Jets lost the turnover battle and then
42:44Tennessee, they showed a lot of signs of
42:48what they did in the offseason. They added the offensive line, so they ran
42:52the football quite decently, obviously bringing Bill Callahan and Brian Callahan, obviously, for that matter.
42:56Defensively, he showed some nice things.
43:00Will Levis is a guy who, you can't
43:04do that. Tua did it last night in a different way.
43:08I'm going to throw it away and I referenced Stroud almost doing it. He's like, I'm going to throw it away, but
43:12not throw the ball. It's like this was Zach Wilson years ago.
43:16You're going to throw it away, dude. The ball's got to end up in the
43:2018th row of the sideline.
43:24Hopefully, I get it out of bounds, whatever it may be.
43:28Levis, three turnovers, one of them at the end of the game. I get it. They ran the ball decently.
43:32I expect them to try to run the ball the entire game. Dehop seemingly getting
43:36healthier. Him and Ridley haven't been on the same page, but that right side of the offensive line
43:40really struggled a week ago. I don't know, Quinn Williams and Jermaine Johnson
43:44are not really the ideal next pairing to go up against.
43:48Like I said, if you're Tennessee, can you get interior pressure and force Aaron Rodgers outside the pocket
43:52of Simmons and Meatloaf to Andre Sweat?
43:56The last thing I say is
44:00what they do with LeJarrius Sneed with Gary Wilson will be really interesting.
44:04They ran a lot of cover three, I think 34% of the time, 35% of the time last week
44:08that was by far and away their most predominant coverage.
44:12Caleb Williams and Aaron Rodgers are a little different at this point in their career. Maybe Caleb gets to become Aaron Rodgers
44:16who's his favorite player and all that. That's great. Right now, the way he's
44:20diagnosed defense is very different.
44:24If you're going to sit back and zone, Rodgers will pick you apart, and if they're going to try to blitz with
44:28Mann, the Jets are probably going to utilize a lot of Brees Hall.
44:32People are really down on the Jets right now and not that down on the Titans
44:36considering the way that game went. I think you'll be leaving Sunday
44:40excelling. Jets-Pats is probably much more the matchup we thought
44:44it was a month ago than we thought it probably was two days ago.
44:48It's a fair point. Rams and Cardinals.
44:52Cardinals are favored in this game, granted
44:56by a point, point and a half. Stafford was awesome
45:00against Detroit. He did have the one regrettable interception, but otherwise
45:04Baller standing in there with an offensive line that's in shambles, that
45:08remains in shambles. The injuries are still an issue for them going into this game.
45:12Signing dudes off practice squads. They're in a rough way.
45:16Arizona's defense is Swiss cheesy,
45:20despite Jonathan Gannon's background and despite them being frisky at the end of last
45:24year. Can't pressure the quarterback. I
45:28have a hard time thinking that Sean McVay is going to let his team fall
45:32to 0-2 even if they're on the road. I have a lot of faith in that dude. I have a lot of faith in that
45:36quarterback. Cooper Cup, targeted 21
45:40times. He ran 9 million miles
45:44in that game. He was in motion. Just crazy stuff.
45:48They probably want a little more diversity in their offense, but he still had 14
45:52catches. I have a hard time
45:56seeing Sean McVay in L.A. lose in Arizona
46:00despite the injuries.
46:04Again, yes, obviously with the injuries. I wasn't
46:08as high in Arizona coming into the year. I don't expect them to be a team that
46:12is fun to watch. The Marvin Harrison Jr. questions are
46:16a bit odd this week. Everyone, obviously, too slow. All these different things.
46:20I never saw that on tape with Marvin Harrison.
46:24This is one of those games where the Rams kind of need this game
46:28if they are going to be who we think they can be.
46:32Can you try to steal one here? I don't know.
46:36This is a game that should be exciting. Divisional games are always
46:40much closer than we think. In Arizona, it's a bit spunky.
46:44This Rams defense will be interesting. How do they attack Kyler? How do they
46:48attack this running game?
46:52If he's not going to get rushed, you expect Cooper Cup to get peppered with
46:56targets. They'll lean on Kyron Williams. Obviously, with Puka out for the next month or so,
47:00Cooper Cup's probably going to have 1,000 targets. I'd expect the Rams
47:04to get it done here. Again, I think this will be a little bit closer.
47:08The spread indicates it should be quite a close game. I'd like to see some play.
47:12Corum, too. Corum had a really good preseason and was thought to be
47:16involved. Then, as McVeigh said, the way the game played out
47:20in Detroit, it just wasn't a perfect fit for him. I could see him
47:24getting more touches in this game. Let's go to the best team in the AFC,
47:28the Cincinnati Bengals. I'm quoting Jamar Chase
47:32who decided to bust that out earlier this week.
47:36They're at Kansas City. The Chiefs, a six-point favorite. Bengals, obviously, 0-1
47:40having lost to the Patriots. Kansas City, victorious
47:44in the opener against Baltimore.
47:48Jamar, he's had a weird six
47:52weeks, that comment. I appreciate the confidence, but they're probably
47:56going into this one without Tee Higgins again. There's questions about Burrow and the wrist.
48:00We saw him flexing the wrist quite a bit during the course of the game. They didn't push the ball
48:04down the field, which the Patriots were complicit in. Obviously, they wanted to keep everything in front of them.
48:08Did a very good job of that. I can't imagine Steve Spagnola is going to
48:12approach it any differently, at least to start.
48:16You have Jamar, who's not in perfect game shape yet
48:20because, as we mentioned, he didn't practice football all summer.
48:24With no Higgins, that other option, that guy that could take the top off the defense
48:28isn't there. It just feels like a really rough spot for Cincinnati.
48:32It feels like they're going to get off to another 0-2 start under Zach Taylor.
48:36It's weird because everything tells you
48:40the Chiefs are going to win this game
48:44a comfortable 30-20 game,
48:4827-17 type of affair. Burrow is 3-1
48:52against Mahomes. They do seem to play their best football when they play against the Chiefs.
48:56They feel like they're the one team that can give Mahomes and the Chiefs the biggest problems.
49:00I would argue that's not the case, but I guess the stats indicate
49:04that is the case. I think there is a lot of mental games with Jamar
49:08and I think Ken Taylor-Britt and a couple other guys.
49:12They do a lot of talking, especially when it comes to the Chiefs.
49:16One thing that's a bit annoying to me is
49:20Joe Burrow, if you don't keep your wrist loose, you lose it.
49:24I was like, okay, I guess.
49:28I'm not saying that I don't get it.
49:32My knee exploded. I went to wearing a sleeve on my left leg
49:36no matter what I'm doing athletically because it makes me feel more comfortable
49:40and it is loosened up. I get it.
49:44Joe Burrow has been healthy at all. He's been amazing.
49:48When he plays banged up, we've seen a lot of limited
49:52they've not been a good football team when he's not 100% right. How right is Jamar Chase?
49:56I just didn't understand
50:00we're going to go into this game. I guess that's kind of the Bengals thing.
50:04That's their thing with the Chiefs is we're going to be the team that talks a lot of trash and Josh Norman
50:08with Odell type of thing. Even if we lose, I'm just going to keep chirping.
50:12There's only one of two things happen.
50:16This game is going to be like the Chiefs are going to have a lot to say after the game.
50:20The win, like I said, 27-17, 30-20, whatever, or we get a Bengals win
50:24and then we go, oh my God, are they the number one competition
50:28a week after losing to the Patriots? It just doesn't feel like it's a Bengals close loss.
50:32It feels like they win this game and everyone's like, ooh,
50:36are Burrow and the Bengals back or they're going to probably miss the playoffs
50:40and the Chiefs are clearly the best team in the league. I just don't see it in between here.
50:44This is not one of those games I see that happening.
50:48We had four games that we put in the also-ran category.
50:52Chargers, Panthers, Raiders, Ravens, Steelers, Broncos.
50:56You mentioned
51:00earlier, this is a game, the Giants-Commanders,
51:04are we on Daniel Jones' watch already? Is it possible?
51:08Why was Shane Daniels rookie of the week?
51:12Because counting stats, 180 passing and 88 rushing.
51:16If you watch the game,
51:20any sign of trouble, he was taken off. I don't know how you play offense like that.
51:24And quite frankly, I don't know how he survives playing like that.
51:28But that's a game where...
51:32The Giants have to win this game, no? Yes. And look, Daniel Jones has
51:36played well against Washington. Granted, this is a different regime. It's Dan Quinn's defense and all that.
51:40But yeah, he's got to stand up and deliver in this one.
51:44Yeah, he's had success against Washington. It's probably the one team he's had his most success
51:48against. That game, obviously, Raiders,
51:52Ravens, I expect the Ravens to
51:56roll and roll quite comfortably. Yes.
52:00This is a game I think we leave when Devontae starts getting a little
52:04more chippy. I think we're going to start seeing
52:08a little bit of, yeah, I love my teammates, love my coaches,
52:12I want to win, blah, blah, blah. It's going to get louder and louder each week.
52:16Interesting what Brock Bowers and these guys look like. Again, I want to see this defense in the Raiders
52:20kind of create more pressure on the defensive line. Obviously, Spillane
52:24had a really nice week last week. But again, losing a division game, I just expect the Ravens to
52:28kind of roll here and get a little more four-touchdown, 250-yard.
52:32Is he going to go back-to-back? They're three MVP, not
52:36back-to-back-to-back, but you get my point. And then Steelers, Broncos,
52:40I just want to hit on it. You can run through those as well.
52:44Can we get a pass above the line of scrimmage from either team in this game?
52:48Because I think both defenses, I expect this to be one of those
52:52if you're the Broncos, you feel like, hey, really good defense, but we could steal
52:56one here. This would be a nice way to start the season, home opener,
53:00whole thing, Windy City, mile high, the whole nine yards.
53:04And if you're Pittsburgh, you're like, can we sneaky start 2-0 against two
53:08offensively inept teams? Steelers' path for winning is kind of what they did last week
53:12and the Broncos is kind of what they did for last week. They just were against a better team.
53:16So, yeah, not overly pumped for any of those games, although
53:20kind of some loser-leave-town already in Week 2 type of matchups.
53:24Absolutely. Yeah, I would expect Sean Payton is not going to allow T.J. Watt
53:28to ruin the game as Atlanta's Raheem Moore's
53:32Zach Robinson allowed him to ruin their home opener.
53:36And then the only thing I'll say about Chargers-Panthers, because we know how bad the Panthers are,
53:40is watching the Chargers back,
53:44it wasn't easy for Herbert. And I mean that,
53:48I just don't, they're just not deep at wide
53:52receiver. They just don't have a lot of playmakers, so they're really going to have to lean on
53:56J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards in the run game, because I think
54:00the Herbert that we're used to seeing and sort of the pushing the ball down the field
54:04and making these outrageous throws, I don't know that he's going to get an opportunity to do that very much
54:08this year unless they get some development out of their, well, really about Quentin Johnson
54:12because we know Lad McConkey's going to work the underneath stuff. Alright,
54:16so let's get to it. We teased it, prize picks. I got it done last week and I'm
54:20feeling frisky, feeling frisky this week. I have five.
54:24Five picks for you. Five, let's go. Jonathan
54:28Taylor, touchdowns, that's running or receiving and receiving.
54:32.5, I'm taking more. J.K. Dobbins, same thing.
54:36.5, I'm taking more. Anthony Richardson,
54:4039.5 rushing yards. I'm taking more
54:44on that as well. I think he's going to have to run around, create some stuff. That's who
54:48he is. Jacoby Brissett, the number of passing yards,
54:52183.5, less.
54:56121 in the opener. Probably going to have to throw it more.
55:00I just don't know how much more. Ramondre Stevenson, 63.5
55:04rushing yards. He had, of course, 120 in the opener. I'm going to take more
55:08on that as well. So those are Mike Giardi's prize
55:12picks. I will unveil three.
55:16I'm going to go Derek Howard. Derek Howard, lower in yards.
55:20I just, like I said, Mike Zimmer, I think is
55:24going to cause some problems there. I'm going to go Aaron Rodgers more in touchdowns.
55:28I think we're going to see a, I don't know about yards with Rodgers. He doesn't seem to
55:32throw for the 300-400 yards he used to. He's more of a touchdown merchant, which is not a bad
55:36thing. I think you see him get a couple on the board, two or three
55:40here. He probably should have had two on Monday night in a
55:44Milwaukee game. I'm going to go, I guess I'll give you two more.
55:48I referenced one before. Lamar Jackson more in terms
55:52of rush and pass yards combined. I think it's going to be a big Lamar game.
55:56And lastly, Matt Stafford more
56:00in terms of touchdowns. Again, I think no pass rush from the Cardinals'
56:04perspective. I think we're going to get a Cooper Cup 12 for 174
56:08and two touchdown type of game. And that means Matt Stafford's going to have big time stats.
56:12So that's where I'm going to land on my more or less
56:16prize fix this week. All right. That's going to put a wrap on all 32 for this week
56:20as we get you ready for the week two slate. We'll be back with you on Monday.
56:24Preview the Monday night game and obviously recap the weekend that was, Will.
56:28Always a pleasure. People, reminder, like,
56:32subscribe, tell your friends, leave reviews. We help continue to build
56:36the All 32 brand here as we move forward into the season and hit
56:40our stride. All right. Have a great weekend. Talk to you Monday.
