Some 400ha native land under the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) will be returned to the locals in Tambisan, Lahad Datu.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced this during his visit to Felda Sahabat Lahad Datu, on Thursday (Sept 12).

00:12Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced this during his visit to FELDA Sahabat Lahad Datu on Thursday.
00:20Anwar said this has been a long-standing issue which needed to be immediately solved.
00:25He added this matter was brought up by the state government and the young Dipertuan Negri,
00:30so he had to respond and make a decision.
00:33On other matters, he said a dialysis centre is expected to be built at FELDA Sahabat,
00:38so that residents there do not have to travel far to Lahad Datu town to seek treatment.
00:44Earlier, he reiterated that the Madani government was committed to fighting corruption and power abuse in the country,
00:51stressing that those who flout the law should be punished legally.
00:55Anwar said the Madani government respected the laws of the country and would not compromise on any wrongdoing.
