Residents in Mansfield have come together to help a homeless man and his dog, hoping to find them dog-friendly accommodation as temperatures drop. John Laughton says he has been sleeping on the streets for almost a year.

00:40So, I'm telling everyone to listen to this. Just me and Blue need somewhere to stay, like a room or anything.
00:45I want to get myself back on my feet, working.
00:48And I'm going to be doing work with Blue, so he'll be coming with me.
00:52I don't want to cause any bother to anyone.
00:55And there's been that many good people that's helped me.
00:59Some really good people that's helped me, have gone out of their way to help me.
01:03But also there's a lot of judgmental people that don't really know me, what I've gone through.
