00:05accusation that this house speaker was the main guy behind the creation of the panel formed to

00:11run after the close associates and allies of the former president, especially the main personalities

00:17behind the war on illegal drugs. PTV correspondent Noel Talacay dwells deeper into resistance against

00:24the probe panel beginning with its first controversial resource person and police officer.

00:32The two members of the house squad committee, representative Robert Ace Barbers and Dan

00:38Fernandez, defended the creation of the committee from its critics. According to them, no one

00:45influenced or ordered its conception and creation. They also said it was proposed and presented to

00:52the plenary, debated on, and agreed upon by the members of the house of representatives.

01:34One of the committee's controversial resource speakers was Police Lt. Col. Joby Espinido, who revealed the allegation,

02:01and reward system of the implementation of the war on illegal drugs by the previous administration

02:07dubbed Operation Tokhang. He also mentioned Senator Ronald Bato de la Rosa. However,

02:14the senator has strongly denied Espinido's claim.

02:31Since he was included in Col. Espinido's affidavit or sworn statement, there is a likelihood

02:51the senator will receive an invitation from the house squad committee in its future hearings. But

03:08But Barbers said the members of the house squad committee will respect the decision of de la Rosa

03:15whether he attends the hearing or not.

03:18He stressed the committee has no game plan or script to follow to undermine Duterte's or other

03:37prominent political figures. That's why his message to stern critics of the committee...

03:48The next hearing of the house committee set for Tuesday next week. It will once again

04:14tackle extrajudicial killings in relation to the war on illegal drugs of the previous

04:20administration, as well as illegal pogo operations. According to Surigao representative, expect new

04:27speakers to participate in the committee probe. Noel Palacay from the National TV Network,
