Labor MP calls for rethink on exclusion of LGBT questions
The government is facing calls from its own MP's to reconsider leaving questions about sexuality and gender out of the next census. Labor had promised to start counting LGBT Australians as part of the national snapshot. It's now backing away from the move raising concerns the debate could be weaponised. The LGBT community has condemned the backflip and Labor MP Josh Burns says they should be counted.
