00:00Now, ahead of the storms,
00:01we were talking a lot about the
00:03building heat and it's been kind
00:05of one of the bigger stories here
00:07over the last few days and you
00:10can see why yesterday we were
00:12reaching highs in the triple digits
00:14in areas like Omaha even further
00:16north Sioux Falls at 92 Chicago,
00:1893 and Indianapolis even coming in
00:20with a very toasty high of 91.
00:22Now if we look at where our highs
00:24or our temperatures are now,
00:26they're even hotter than where
00:28those highs were yesterday, Chicago 95.
00:30So you'll see that stark contrast.
00:32It's a whole different story
00:33here from Bismarck to Rapid City.
00:35That's where highs are in the 70s,
00:37even 60s right now,
00:39so a very stark difference from the
00:41Plains versus the Midwest and parts
00:43of the Great Lakes because that's
00:45where our dew points like Jeff was
00:48just showing you are in the 70s.
00:50So it is a swamp out there.
00:52Men, Minneapolis tomorrow.
00:54Tomorrow is going to be a
00:56Minneapolis tomorrow.
00:56Much better when it comes to the
00:59temperatures though we're still
01:00tracking that threat for some strong
01:02storms will hit a high of 80 not too
01:04far from where we typically are for
01:06this time of year though Indianapolis.
01:08I can't say the same for you.
01:10We're reaching a high of 96.
01:12We're running well above where we
01:14typically sit Milwaukee or at 93,
01:16even Omaha at 89,
01:17though you'll note that those
01:19stormy icons stay in the picture.
01:20That heat continues to expand here
01:22as we head into Tuesday and
01:24from the Laurel Highlands,
01:26the spine of the Appalachians down
01:28through Washington DC, Virginia Beach,
01:31Roanoke.
01:31It's going to be hot.
01:33Accuweather real field temperatures
01:35running past 95 degrees.
01:36That includes the Ohio Valley,
01:38Western Pennsylvania,
01:39Pittsburgh going to be feeling
01:41that heat tomorrow,
01:42though where we have the highest heat,
01:45the core of the heat.
01:47We're going to be seeing a lot of
01:49rain and a lot of sunshine.
01:52Highest heat, the core of the heat.
01:54That's an area like Saint Louis.
01:56I'm not jealous of you.
01:58Accuweather real field temperatures
02:00reaching 105 to 110 degrees.
02:01Try to beat that heat.
02:03I know you'll be sweating it out.
