Water surge: 21 stranded at Risda Eco Park rescued

A total of 21 people who were stranded at the Risda Eco Park in Ulu Slim after a dam burst and a bridge collapsed on Friday (Aug 23) have been rescued as of 12pm on Saturday (Aug 24) .

00:11Perak Fire and Rescue Department Director Sayani Saidon said all 19 visitors and two
00:17staff were trapped in the area but were not injured.
00:21All those rescued are aged from 2 to 50 years old.
00:29The flash flood at Sungai Gelinting, Uluslim, caused a bridge to collapse and blocked the
00:34only access route to the Rizda Eco Park camping area.
00:39All those rescued have been relocated to a temporary evacuation centre at the Rizda Eco
00:44Park Academy.
00:45It took the fire and rescue team four hours to rescue the victims.
