New operator announced for Sheffield leisure facilities including Ponds Forge, EIS and Ice Sheffield
Sheffield City Council have announced Everyone Active, the longest established and most experienced leisure operator in the UK, will take over operating duties of the city's sports and leisure venues in 2025.

00:13facilities. From January, Everyone Active will be the operator for Ponds Forge, for leisure centres,
00:21for pools, gyms and golf courses across the city, as well as our facilities at Ice Sheffield
00:28and our elite training facilities at the English Institute of Sport. They bring a wealth of
00:34experience and expertise to help take our sport and leisure offer to the next level. Every week,
00:41thousands of people across our city use community facilities like this and we've also hosted major
00:49sporting events in our venues over the years. Our venues and our facilities have helped to nurture
00:56fantastic athletes who've gone on to represent their sport at the highest possible level
01:03at World Championships and Olympics. People like Sheffield's Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill
01:09and Anthony Joshua. Ponds Forge is one of only a dozen Olympic-sized swimming pools in the UK
01:17and it's home to Europe's deepest diving pit. Team GB divers train in the building behind me.
