The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, Aug. 11 said the southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat,” is affecting Luzon and the western parts of Visayas and may continue to bring rain showers and thunderstorms to these areas.
