00:35The House of Representatives is offering a special gift for our soldiers in recognition

00:44During the talk-to-troops activity of House Speaker Martin Romuldez in Subic Zambales,

00:50he announced that under the 2025 national budget, they will increase the daily subsistence

00:55allowance of government troops.

00:57From P150, it will be raised to P350 per day for the soldiers' meals.

01:03We in the House of Representatives already have undertaken that in the forthcoming budget

01:09that we shall now include a P15 billion package that will increase, will more than double

01:18your P150 subsistence allowance to P350.

01:25I repeat, we are more than doubling your subsistence allowance, and that is in due

01:30recognition for the overdue increase that we think you have deserved for a long time.

01:43According to Speaker Romuldez, the government sees the hard work and sacrifices of the armed

01:48forces.

01:49That's why they in Congress continue to strive to further improve the welfare of the soldiers

01:54and even their families.

01:56You are the most important and critical component of our national defense program.
