00:00Two-time gold medalist Carlos Yulo will consult with President Bongbong Marcos regarding the strengthening of the sports program in the country.

00:17Due to the amazing performance of two-time gold medalist Carlos Yulo in the Paris Olympics,

00:23President Bongbong Marcos has an important question for him when they met.

00:28My interest is to increase the number of medalists like him.

00:31What needs to be done? Do we have to change the organization?

00:34Do we have to, how do we, when it needs to be funded?

00:37When we meet, I will ask him what else the government can do to increase the number of medalists in the Olympics.

00:48Within 100 years of the Philippines joining the Olympics, since 1924, there are only 17 medals won by the country, three of which are gold.

00:59Yulo's two gold medals are added to the first gold medal won by weightlifter Heidini Diaz during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

01:08The President believes that Yulo has a part in the strengthening of the sports program in the country.

01:15I think he will continue to greater heights in sports because he is already a world champion.

01:22Now, we have seen the true potential. And again, I think he will be the best person to ask what else he is that we can do.

01:32The President is proud of his contribution earlier in Masantol, Pampanga.

01:37He is there with the local officials and DPWH for the inauguration of the first phase of the major flood mitigation project that was mandated by the South Korean government.

01:48It is expected to help ease the flood in Masantol, Makabebe, Minalin, and Santo Tomas.
