00:00Yeah, Everton, obviously going into that transfer situation, you know, we've said how the sort
00:07of finances, it's quite tough to juggle for Sean Dyche. He says he wants more experience
00:12in the side. Is there any sort of move to suggest that more transfers are being done?
00:18Obviously he added Ashley Young, a bit of experience there. Is that the sort of route
00:23that they might be going down?
00:25Yeah, so yeah, obviously Ashley Young's pent another year extension and Jack Harrison's
00:31come back, who's got Premier League experience in abundance. But, you know, Sean Dyche said
00:36it's just a mark at the level they have to be working in. They've got assigned players
00:40who are inexperienced enough because, obviously, they are cheaper and they've got a selling
00:46value as well down the line, whichever, you know, the need to improve the financial situation.
00:51But if you look at them, Timmy O'Bannon hasn't played a lot of Premier League games, and
00:56he was eliminated when he was at Sheffield United, and Jake O'Brien was at Palace for
01:01a period, but he never made a senior appearance. Jesper Lindstrom arrives with a lot of top
01:06flight experience, but he's never played in the Premier League, and he'll take a while
01:09to get used to those demands. So, yeah, as I say, they do need a little bit more. I think
01:15they do need another midfielder in there. We've talked of Calvin Phillips potentially
01:19being one, but it's an interesting one with him because, obviously, he's been playing
01:23for Man City in the pre-season periods, and he played centre-back in their last game.
01:31Does Pep Guardiola look at them and think, well, I'll keep him around and be an extra
01:34centre-back if the right terms aren't agreed for him with Man City? And another winger
01:44I think Everton fans would be open to, another one with quite a lot of burn and pace. Will
01:52he, Nonto, will he, can he get a deal over the line? Now that Somerville's left Leeds,
01:59are they under enough pressure? Are they under any pressure now, Leeds, to sell them? Will
02:03Nonto look at them and think, I can be a talisman now? I think a lot of fans would agree that
02:09a left-back's needed. Jürgen's covered there for Vitaly Mikhailenko, but I think another
02:16specialist is needed. You could even say the jury's still out on the right-back situation
02:21because you've got Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman, but Ashley Young's what, 39, Seamus
02:27Coleman's 35, 36, and Nathan Paterson's still recovering from a hamstring injury, and since
02:33he arrived two and a half years ago, he hasn't quite hit it off yet. So, still a little bit
02:38of work to be done, I think, for Sean Dyche. He'll be plotting what he can do with director
02:44of football Kevin Fellow, but look, as we speak now, less than two weeks to go before
02:49the start of the season. I think a lot of support will be encouraged by the deals that
02:54Everton have managed to get over the line so far, but yeah, a little bit more knelts
02:59will be needed because there is quite a lot of inexperience in the team at the minute.
