00:16of the international extreme right wing that sought to create chaos in the country after
00:21the presidential elections held on July 28th.
00:27The Israeli regime and the United States have dangerously raised tensions in the Middle
00:31East with the assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Hanije and Hezbollah's second most
00:36important commander, Fuad Shukur.
00:41And in India, authorities reported that the death toll from landslides has risen to 151.
00:52Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Alejandra Garcia from Telesur Studios in Havana, Cuba.
00:57We begin with the news.
00:59In Venezuela, the re-elected president Nicolás Maduro Moros denounced a destabilizing plan
01:03of the international extreme right wing that sought to create chaos in the country after
01:08the presidential elections held on July 28th.
01:10During a press conference, Maduro expressed that the country is in peace thanks to measures
01:15taken in the face of the vandalism perpetrated by some groups financed and trained by the
01:20international extreme right.
01:22In this sense, the national president assured that the country will not fall into the hands
01:28of fascism and international imperialism.
01:30At the same time, he stated that if these events continue, he will call the people to
01:35a new revolution with different characteristics to the one that has been known in the country
01:40for 25 years.
01:46During a press conference, the president announced that he went to the Supreme Court of Justice
01:50to ask the electoral court to proceed to investigate everything that happened on July 28th and
01:55after this date.
02:25And from the point of view of the Venezuelan laws, to decide what happened on the 28th
02:32of July and after the 28th of July, and to establish with clarity and legal sentence
02:42the results, the definite results that made me winner of the election on the July 28th,
02:51including all the steps of audits, all the audit steps that were made in Venezuela, there
03:00are 16 audits and all those 16 audits were made, all the audits were made.
03:11At the press conference, the president also demanded the release of all records related
03:15to the presidential elections.
03:17So I have demanded immediately the electoral court has all the diligence to obtain all
03:27the legal data of the National Electoral Council, all the investigations of the Attorney General,
03:35and also to demand the information to the 10 presidential candidates, one by one, to
03:43the 38 political parties, and ratified to the press today with this long introduction
03:51that the great patriotic poll and the Socialist Unity Party of Venezuela are ready to deliver
03:59all the voting registers of all the 100% of the tables to this electoral court when it's
04:07demanded by the electoral court.
04:11Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro went on Wednesday to the Supreme Court of Justice
04:17and filed a writ of amparo before the electoral chamber of said court to validate the election
04:23of July 28th.
04:24There, he was received by the president of the highest court, Magistrate Carrizlia RodrĂguez,
04:30also president of the electoral chamber, to whom he handed the document.
04:34He did so in the company of the Attorney General of the Republic, Reinaldo Muñoz.
04:39The rights for the electoral chamber to address this attack on the electoral process and make
04:44clear everything that needs to be clarified.
04:47President Maduro pointed out that 100% of the tally sheets of the past elections will
04:51be made available.
04:53He affirmed that he is willing to publicly present all the tally sheets of the votes
04:58cast in the elections, the results of which are disputed by the extreme opposition.
05:03It would be maybe the most criminal act till nowadays.
05:17I said it on time.
05:20Some people don't believe, didn't believe.
05:24Because they say, see to believe, and as Saint Thomas said, bless the ones who believe
05:35without seeing, but bless the ones who see and believe, and let's be united those, let's
05:46be united all.
05:47It is a criminal act, not only because of the violence, but criminal for as they search
05:53for criminals to attack, burn people alive, and burn the public sectors as health facilities
06:02to threaten life of the families, to burn markets and companies, vehicles, and attack
06:13their own people.
06:19This is all directed by a perverse and criminal group.
06:29The constitutional president of Venezuela ratified his willingness to collaborate in
06:34the investigation of the electoral chamber regarding his victory in the presidential
06:38elections of Sunday, July 28th.
06:42And I have said that I am willing to be summoned, to be interrogated at all forms, be investigated
06:55by the electoral chamber as presidential candidate, winner of July 28th elections, and as head
07:05of state.
07:06I submitted to justice, and I have said beyond, as head of politics and revolutionary leader
07:16of Venezuela, and son of Commander Chavez, that the great patriotic Paul and the United
07:23Socialist Party is ready to present all polling stations, all ballots, and I hope that the
07:34electoral chamber does the same with every candidate and every party.
07:42Also in Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro presented an array of measures to crack down
07:46violent acts committed by fascist far-right groups known as Comanditos.
07:51During a joint meeting with the Council of State and the National Defense Council, the
07:55Venezuelan president explained the main initiative, which entails the creation of a $10 million
08:00economic fund to support victims affected by the far-right violence.
08:04In addition, authorities agreed on setting a special commission led by lawmaker Jorge
08:09RodrĂguez, which plays the role of defending Venezuelan public opinion to counter attacks
08:14and speeches full of hate and violence on outlets and social media.
08:18In terms of citizen security, they will implement a special scheme with the framework of the
08:24second phase of the republic plan that involves the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the
08:30police forces in a joint project with the Cuadrantes, the PAS, and the Popular Power
08:35to patrol and protect streets, avenues, urbanizations, and communities from the threat of the Comanditos
08:41groups.
08:42Both councils were united to appoint Diosdado Cabello and Minister Remigio Ceballos Hichasso
08:47in charge of monitoring this special plan.
08:50These actions represent a comprehensive effort by the Venezuelan government to address violence
08:55and protect the population from attacks by these criminal groups.
09:02On Tuesday in Venezuela, members of the criminal group known as Tren de los Llanos, at the
09:06service of the far-right, attacked again state institutions.
09:10In this regard, Venezuelan Public Prosecutor's Office indicated that the events occurred
09:14in the municipality of Oceta de Omonagas in Altagracia state of Huarico, in the center
09:20of the country.
09:21The violent men arrived on motorcycles and attacked a dependency attached to the major's
09:26office.
09:27It is worth mentioning that this criminal organization, which is accused of serious
09:31crimes related to murder, rape, torture, drug trafficking, and human trafficking, joins
09:36the list of criminal groups hired by the extremist opposition led by MarĂa Corina Machado and
09:42Edmundo González.
09:47On Wednesday, the Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, addressed the actions
09:52of the far-right groups seeking to tarnish the results of the July 28th elections.
09:57In this sense, William Saab pointed out that, as they had been warning for months, there
10:02were plans of the extreme right wing to declare the election as a fraud after July 28th and
10:08begin with terrorist acts throughout the nation.
10:11On the other hand, William Saab pointed out that the Republic Ministry is investigating
10:16each of these criminal groups and assured that 20 subjects were apprehended for crimes
10:21that included attacks on military officials.
10:23Furthermore, he also emphasized that the far-right is using a structured group of organized crime
10:28known as El Tren del Llano associated to paramilitary groups.
10:41I want to give a preliminary report, a preliminary one, about the actions that I am mentioning
10:47there, all linked to the actions that I am mentioning there.
10:50Up to this moment we have arrested 1,062 people, if, some of them, according to previous investigations
10:57are proved to have no participations in these actions despite of being there, we have a
11:01justice system and fair trials so they will be released, however, those found responsible,
11:07as the ones I am showing, all of them are responsible, will be sentenced to many years
11:13of prison.
11:29In relation to what I am saying, I could highlight a breaking point in what they have tried this
11:34time.
11:39This time you don't see, no one can point out to me that have seen, in these guarimbas,
11:49in these brutally negative actions, students for example, or members of a trade union,
11:57or even a social movement protesting against an alleged fraud.
12:05International observers reaffirmed transparency in Venezuela's presidential elections as well
12:09as the effectiveness of the electoral system.
12:11The joint preliminary report highlights the normality of the electoral process in full
12:16warranty of the citizens' right to vote, in peace and in an organized manner for which
12:21they recognize the work of the National Electoral Council.
12:24They further praised the Republic's plan for thoroughly conducting the citizens' security
12:30and the custody of the electoral material without any kind of incidents.
12:34Likewise, they congratulate the Venezuelan people who, despite multiple pressures and
12:39interfering actions, gave an example of civility during the peaceful, orderly and transparent
12:45exercise of their right to vote.
12:47The Argentine and American Jurist Association, the Chilean Human Rights Commission, among
12:52other organizations, denounced the siege of the Venezuelan embassy in Buenos Aires,
12:56which they described as an unacceptable violation of the Vienna Convention.

13:46Israel and the United States have dangerously raised tensions in the Middle East with a
13:49series of lethal operations.
13:52The assassination of Hezbollah's second most important commander in Beirut was followed
13:56on Wednesday by the execution of the leader of the Hamas-Palestinian resistance, Ismail

14:29against Tel Aviv.
14:36Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has strongly condemned the assassination of Ismail Hanije,
14:40leader of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas.
14:43The Palestinian President has considered the attack against Hanije, which happened
14:47a few hours after the Israeli assassination of the number two of the Lebanese Shiite party
14:52militia Hezbollah, as a cowardly act and a dangerous event at a time of maximum tension
14:58in the region.
15:01U.S. Department of Deputy Spokesperson Vendette Padel declined to offer an opinion on the
15:10Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon and reaffirmed Washington's support for Tel Aviv.
15:14Likewise, in the face of the Israeli aggression in the southern suburb of Beirut, the spokesperson
15:19assured that his nation is committed to diplomacy to avoid an escalation between the Zionist
15:24army and the Lebanese resistance, while the White House spokesperson, Karine Jean-Pierre,
15:29further reaffirmed from speaking about the bombing and stressed that it is a war that
15:35can be avoided.
15:36The media reported that the action left martyrs and wounded, while rescue operations continue
15:41at the site.
15:46In this context, Moussa Abou-Marsouk, the current senior Hamas official, has warned
15:51that the assassination of Ismail Hanije by the Zionist regime would not go unanswered
15:56and he described the assassination of Hanije as a cowardly act by the occupier.
16:00At the same time, it was learned that the Islamic resistance in Iraq and the Houthis
16:05in Yemen offered their lives to take revenge for the criminal acts perpetrated by Israel

17:09In India, hundreds of rescue workers are searching through mud and debris from multiple landslides
17:15that have killed at least 151 people in Kerala state.
17:19Officials said on Wednesday that nearly a thousand people have been rescued and 187
17:24are still missing after landslides, although their efforts were hampered by persistent
17:29rainfall that collapsed numerous roads in Wayanad.
17:32Kerala's chief minister, Pinaraji Vijayan, said that hospitals were treating 186 people,
17:38making this one of the worst natural disasters the state has ever seen.
17:43At the same time, the Indian army announced the deployment of more than 300 soldiers to
17:47the area to assist security forces and regional rescue teams in the rescue effort.
17:58I have no hope.
18:00There is very little possibility.
18:02My wife's father is around 70 to 74 years old and has difficulty walking.
18:08We have no hope.
18:10That's how bad the situation is there.
18:17There were families that had two members and others that had eight members.
18:21There have been instances where we have only found one body and the other seven bodies,
18:26we have no idea where they are.
18:28Many kilometers away in Nilamber town, parts of bodies have been discovered.
18:33Here we have found parts of three bodies.
18:35A woman's body was missing its head and everything below the waist.
18:40This is the situation we are facing today.
18:45On Wednesday, the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, held talks with Paraguay President
18:51Elect and Minister of Defense of Indonesia to negotiate for a free trade zone agreement.
18:59We also expressed the hope that the agreement on a free trade zone between the Eurasian
19:02economic community and Indonesia, which is almost ready for signing, will also play a
19:07very positive, noticeable role in the development of our trade and economic ties.
19:12We consider Russia as a great friend and I would like to continue to maintain and enhance
19:23this relationship.
19:26The government of Libya repatriated 369 irregular migrants on Tuesday to their countries of
19:32origin, including more than 100 women and children.

19:40measure is aimed at curbing irregular immigration, while giving details on the repatriation of
19:45204 Nigerians and 165 Malaysians.
19:49Meanwhile, Barda also confirmed that the flights were carried out in coordination with the
19:54International Organization for Migration, which provides free return flights for migrants
20:00and helps reintegrate them into their home countries.
20:03Libya has been criticized for its treatment of migrants and refugees, with accusations
20:08from human rights groups ranging from extortion to slavery.
