00:00There are certainly risks if you are the Lions and don't pay Jared Goff, Dolphins and don't
00:14pay Tua Tunga-Vailoa, Niners and do not pay Brock Purdy.
00:20There are certainly risks if you make that decision, right?
00:26The grass is not always greener on the other side, but when you are the Miami Dolphins
00:35and you pay Tua Tunga-Vailoa, you are now not only locked in to Tua, but you do lose
00:44a level of flexibility that having a quarterback on a rookie deal can bring.
00:52When it comes to Tua, where does he rank in the landscape of quarterbacks?
00:58Comfortably outside the top seven, right?
01:03He is not what I don't think, I really do not think anybody would argue to as a top
01:08seven quarterback in the league, right?
01:11Is he a top 12 quarterback in the league?
01:15Not so sure.
01:17What you then kind of have is a conversation of, is Tua a round league average, right?
01:23There does come a point in the tier where everybody is kind of mixed, but if you as
01:28the Miami Dolphins have a game changer in Tyreek Hill, another high level wide receiver
01:35in Jalen Waddell, and a brilliant offensive mind in Mike McDaniel, is there not a desire
01:44to take a risk with a young, cheap rookie quarterback and attack it that way?
01:54And what seemingly the answer is from these teams is no, we are going to be risk averse.
