00:00Oh! That's Wolverine!
00:02You're damn straight it is!
00:03Disney brought him back, they're gonna make him do this till he's 90!
00:06Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at celebs and characters who
00:10made surprise appearances in Deadpool and Wolverine. Maximum spoilers.
00:16Don't just stand there, you ape! Give me a hand up!
00:21Number 10. Wumi Masaku
00:24You say anything about turning back?
00:27Wumi Masaku made her MCU debut in the Loki TV series as Hunter B-15,
00:32a no-nonsense TVA agent who forms an unlikely alliance with the God of Mischief.
00:38At the end of Loki Season 2, B-15 assumes a higher role in the reformed TVA.
00:43While the TVA is given a new glorious purpose, it's still not without a few bad apples.
00:48Mr. Paradox, played by Matthew McFadyen,
00:51works off the grid on a mission to destroy Deadpool's universe.
00:55I'd say he's probably a little bit frustrated with his position in the TVA.
01:00Yeah, he's got a bit of a grudge.
01:03The TVA eventually catches wind of this unauthorized operation,
01:07sending B-15 to Earth 10005, where she places Paradox under arrest.
01:12B-15 also meets Deadpool and Wolverine, although she's more taken with Peter.
01:17He's equally smitten with B-15.
01:20We can only hope there's a universe where these two are endgame.
01:24Renslayer killed C-20, attempted to kill Mobius,
01:26threw me in time jail, and tried to take over the TVA.
01:30Why would tracking her TemPad be a secret?
01:32Number 9.
01:33Jon Favreau
01:34Rule number one, never take your eye off your opponent.
01:39Oh my god!
01:41Deadpool may officially be a part of the MCU now, but that doesn't make him an Avenger.
01:46Early in the film, Wade visits Avengers Campus, where he's interviewed by Happy Hogan.
01:51Jon Favreau reprises his role in an office adorned with Easter eggs.
01:56I don't know what I would do without this job.
01:58I mean, before I met Tony...
02:02In addition to Iron Man helmets, Happy has an incomplete Captain America shield
02:07and a copy of Forbes with Pepper Potts on the cover.
02:10Wade is disappointed that he couldn't speak to an actual Avenger,
02:13suggesting that RDJ doesn't do cameos anymore.
02:16This prompts Wade to ask when exactly Happy went from being a chauffeur to head of security.
02:22Although Wade isn't recruited, Happy tells him what it means to be an Avenger.
02:26He would know since this franchise started with Favreau.
02:30Tony sold Avengers Tower, relocating to a new facility upstate where hopefully,
02:34the cell service is much worse.
02:35Number 8.
02:36Deadpool variants
02:38The movie can't resist taking a few shots at the multiverse concept.
02:42The filmmakers aren't above indulging in this trend, however.
02:45Throughout their journey, our heroes come across Deadpool's nicest variant,
02:49played by an unmasked Ryan Reynolds,
02:52and Dogpool, who won Britain's ugliest dog in real life.
02:56Come on, girl!
02:58She's coming with us!
02:59No, she's not.
02:59In the climax, the film goes full Spider-Verse,
03:02with the arrival of Kidpool, Babypool, Deadpool 2099,
03:07Cowboy Deadpool, and Headpool,
03:09the latter two voiced by Matthew McConaughey and Nathan Fillion, respectively.
03:14The ringleader is Lady Deadpool,
03:16whose face isn't revealed, but she sounds a lot like Blake Lively.
03:20That's because she is.
03:22Deadpool Prime and Wolverine shred through the Red Army,
03:26although that's nothing a little regenerative healing can't fix.
03:29Thankfully, the duo has a secret weapon no Deadpool can resist,
03:33Peter.
03:34Every Deadpool has one.
03:37You're a goddamn superhero, you!
03:40Number 7.
03:41The Old Mutants
03:44Vanished to the void, Deadpool and Wolverine encounter several mutants
03:53who we haven't seen in years.
03:55Leading the charge is Aaron Stanford as Pyro,
03:58who's been MIA since X-Men The Last Stand.
04:01Tyler Mayne returns as Sabretooth,
04:03delivering on the showdown with Wolverine that fans have been waiting for.
04:07Ray Park gets tongue-tied again as Toad,
04:10although he sadly doesn't get struck by lightning this time.
04:15Also back in action are Lady Deathstrike, Azazel, and the Juggernaut.
04:22I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!
04:24They may not be the A-list cast members,
04:26but their presence reflects how many mutants fell through the cracks
04:29as the 20th century Fox universe crumbled.
04:32We didn't know we were nostalgic for these characters,
04:35and actors, until they popped up again.
04:38Number 6.
04:39Jennifer Garner
04:45Jennifer Garner's Elektra has been a punchline for over two decades.
04:51Seeing her revisit the role here though,
04:53we'd argue that Garner always had the potential to be a badass Elektra.
05:02Remember me?
05:03Unfortunately, Daredevil gave Elektra little to do
05:06before she was unceremoniously killed off,
05:08only to be resurrected in a spinoff that also fell short on a screenwriting level.
05:13Garner's Elektra is redeemed as she teams up with Deadpool, Wolverine, and a few others.
05:18Although Garner plays the role with a straight face,
05:21she does get in on some of the laughs.
05:23In her funniest moment, Elektra nonchalantly mentions
05:26that her version of Daredevil didn't survive,
05:29which she isn't too broken up about.
05:31Given Garner's history with Ben Affleck,
05:33there's another layer to read into.
05:35I didn't get your name.
05:39I didn't give it.
05:40Number 5.
05:41Daphne Keen
05:42You were always the wrong guy.
05:45Till you weren't.
05:46X-23 has always been a fan favorite,
05:49and Daphne Keen's portrayal elevated her to another level of popularity.
05:54It appeared that Keen's X-Men experience wouldn't extend beyond Logan.
05:58Of course, we also thought that Hugh Jackman had hung up the claws for good.
06:02Deadpool and Wolverine brings back Laura for another adventure with her father,
06:06or at least one of his variants.
06:12Stop saying those names.
06:14Stop it!
06:15Although Laura doesn't have a history with this Wolverine,
06:17she sees much of her father in him.
06:19She gives the pep talk needed to get Wolverine pumped for the third act.
06:23X-23 hasn't lost her fighting spirit, or her sunglasses.
06:27Keen initially wasn't sure if she could reignite the same spark,
06:31but once the cameras started rolling, it was like eight years hadn't passed.
06:36You don't have to fight anymore.
06:42No.
06:44Number four, Henry Cavill.
06:50Searching for a Wolverine replacement, Deadpool travels across the multiverse.
06:55One universe contains a comic-accurate short Wolverine,
06:58and another sees his patch-alter ego at the poker table.
07:02Deadpool also clashes with the Hulk, who punches him out of his universe.
07:06The standout Wolverine variant doesn't look like Hugh Jackman,
07:09but rather the guy who played Superman in the DCEU.
07:12I can't be a part of this.
07:14Then what can you be a part of?
07:16No!
07:17Nearly a decade after becoming the Man of Steel,
07:20Henry Cavill enters the MCU as Cavill-Rean.
07:23Not interested in Deadpool's offer,
07:25it doesn't take long for Cavill's variant to get violent,
07:28although he doesn't snap any necks this time.
07:31It may be the last we see of this variant,
07:33but Cavill has joined an exclusive club that's gotten their feet wet
07:36in both cinematic universes.
07:39It's not an S.
07:42On my world, it means hope.
07:44Number 3.
07:45Channing Tatum
07:46Like I was a fan of Gambit since like I was a kid,
07:48so there's a lot of things that I've been looking forward to getting to do,
07:51for a very, very long time.
07:53When it comes to playing Gambit,
07:54Channing Tatum has been dealt more than a few bad hands.
07:57He was cast as the Cajun mutant in The Last Stand,
08:01but the character was ultimately cut.
08:03Once X-Men Origins Wolverine came along,
08:05Tatum was busy shooting G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra,
08:08with the Gambit role going to Taylor Kitsch.
08:16In 2014, Tatum signed on to star in a solo Gambit movie.
08:20The character was also expected to appear in X-Men Apocalypse.
08:24None of this panned out,
08:25with the Gambit spinoff getting cancelled around the same time Disney acquired Fox.
08:30My team did everything we could out there,
08:32and a lot of good men went down.
08:33Yeah, but not you.
08:35We guess it just wasn't in the cards for Tatum.
08:37Until Deadpool and Wolverine gave him this hilarious cameo,
08:41with a cool fight scene to boot.
08:44Number 2.
08:45Chris Evans.
08:46What if we got these powers for a reason?
08:48What if it's like some higher calling?
08:49A higher calling, like getting girls and making money?
08:52Is there any higher?
08:53Most of the Avengers appear only through archival footage here.
08:57This includes Chris Hemsworth,
08:58whose tender moment with a dying Deadpool is repurposed from Thor The Dark World.
09:03In The Void, though, Deadpool and Wolverine encounter another Chris
09:07wearing a familiar blue outfit.
09:09This can only mean one thing.
09:11Steve Rogers is back.
09:12Well, actually, there was a second option we feel stupid for not thinking of.
09:16Deadpool is disappointed to find that this isn't Rogers,
09:19but Johnny Storm,
09:21who Evans played a few years before becoming the Star Spangled Man.
09:25Man, I love this job.
09:28Job, huh?
09:29The only thing funnier than hearing Evans say flame on again
09:32is the character's gruesome fate.
09:34Hot take?
09:35Deadpool is 100% responsible for Johnny's death.
09:39First, Ryan Reynolds takes Cap's shield, and now this?
09:49What the s***?

10:06Number 1.
10:07Wesley Snipes
10:09You don't know me.
10:11You don't know anything about me.
10:16I'm not human.
10:18Like Reynolds' Deadpool, Wesley Snipes as Blade
10:20remains one of the best superhero casting choices ever.
10:24Along with Elektra, Gambit, and X-23,
10:27Blade teams up with the titular duo for an epic battle.
10:30Snipes' return brings a handful of things full circle.
10:34Long before Deadpool, Blade was Marvel's first R-rated movie.
10:40Some motherf***ers are always trying to ice skate uphill.
10:43Alas, the series ended on a low note with Blade Trinity,
10:46which coincidentally featured Reynolds.
10:48Despite Snipes' interest in reprising the role,
10:51this seemed increasingly unlikely after Mahershala Ali was cast as the MCU's Blade.
10:57Sure you're ready for that, Mr. Whitman?
10:59As psyched as we are for Ali's portrayal,
11:02Deadpool and Wolverine give Snipes another chance to do the character justice.
11:07He may not be the only Blade anymore,
11:09but we're reminded that Marvel's success in cinema started with Snipes.
11:13You better wake up.
11:16The world you live in is just sugar-coated topping.
11:18There is another world beneath it.
11:21What did you think of Deadpool and Wolverine?
11:23Did you spot Rob McElhenney as a TVA soldier?
11:26We are very sorry for the confusion,
11:28but we're mostly excited.
