00:17The Department of Finance or DOF and Government Financial Institutions or GFIS
00:22have implemented urgent measures to assist Filipinos and rebuild areas ravaged by Super
00:27Typhoon Karina and the Southwest Monsoon. The DOF is ready to access a 500 million dollar
00:33credit line for critical services and post-disaster reconstruction, while the Bureau of the Treasury
00:39eyes 308.5 million pesos from the National Indemnity Insurance Program for school repairs.
00:45The Bureau of Internal Revenue or BIR has announced extensions for several tax-related
00:51obligations until July 31 in severely affected regions. This includes submissions like the
00:57quarterly summary list of sales, purchases, importations for VAT-registered tax payers, and
01:03sworn statements of sales volumes for specific products like alcohol, tobacco, and sweetened
01:09beverages. E-filing payment deadlines for quarterly VAT and percentage tax returns for the quarter
01:15ending June 30 have been postponed. Pag-ibig Fund is offering calamity loans to members severely
01:21affected by Super Typhoon Karina, initially targeting Metro Manila, Cainta, Baco, and Batangas.
01:28Qualified members can borrow up to 80% of their pag-ibig regular savings at 5.95% interest,
01:35with payment terms of 24 or 36 months and a two-month payment deferral. Additional funds
