00:00Some of the worst of the storms have been into parts of eastern North Carolina.
00:04And we had flash flooding earlier in Raleigh, North Carolina.
00:07Now you can see this band, this is a trough, this is actually in advance of the front,
00:12across eastern North Carolina with some very heavy rain for some,
00:16and also down into south Georgia.
00:18We're dealing with more where that came from.
00:20And then to the west you can see we've been wet in Houston,
00:23not as much flooding today, but there are some areas with flood watches still in effect,
00:28including the Houston metro.
00:30There are some areas of river flooding that we've inherited from recent rainfall.
00:33I'm going to take the map all the way up into the Carolinas here
00:35because we also have flood watches in effect.
00:38The flash flood warning is over for Raleigh, but it continues under a watch.
00:42And eastern South Carolina, even areas like Savannah, Georgia, are under that flood watch as well.
00:48With the rain, we've been held down by temperatures stuck in the mid-70s here in Houston, 76 there.
00:54But we're up to 98 in El Paso.
00:56We briefly spiked at 99 a little bit ago.
00:58We're going to have more downpours and thunderstorms across the south over the next few days,
01:03and maybe even a few more water spouts like that photogenic one in Panama City Beach there in Florida.
01:11So Friday's forecast is stormy for a lot of us.
01:13Some of the more frequent downpours are going to be into the central Gulf Coast,
01:17and as we look specifically into the area around Louisiana and east Texas,
01:21each of these locations from New Orleans to Beaumont and Port Arthur,
01:24north to Alexandria, will be below average because of all the clouds
01:28and the downpours keeping temperatures down.
01:30But there will be thunderstorms in each of these areas most likely on Friday.
01:35And you can see as this plays out this evening, they come down to a minimum.
01:38But here's some widespread activity there in the central Gulf Coast on Friday night and into Friday evening as well.
01:44Saturday, we're going to see some more where that came from there.
01:46And the less active weather is going to begin to build into parts of the Carolinas
01:52after we move through the next day or two.
01:54There are five-day totals here from Tuesday and Wednesday behind us,
01:57plus today, plus tomorrow and Saturday.
01:59Some of you are ending up with four or more inches of rain.
02:03But you can see drier weather returns to the Carolinas by Sunday.
