00:00:00I'm talking about. Boom. These are amazingly cooked to perfection. Sometimes people call
00:00:11me a five star Michelin chef. I told you it was hot. My life. How do you sum up your life
00:00:21in a couple words? Hated, despised, drive, work harder than everybody, sacrifice. It's kind of a
00:00:32crazy life I've lived. I mean, I always try to take a step back and look at it and go, wow,
00:00:39but you don't always do that. But yeah, I guess I just look at me as dad. Hey, that's my bite.
00:00:47That's my hot dog. Yeah, I think that's it. You may look at me as the miss. The mayor,
00:00:58let me tell you what a mayor is. I'm the miss! Misses don't grow on trees. And I'm awesome!
00:01:02He's a surefire first ballot hall of famer. He did it! Miz is champion! I'm so happy for you.
00:01:11Thank you so much. You made us all proud. It's a great story to tell my kids. It's a
00:01:16Hollywood love story. Beautiful, huh? Babe, I'm sorry, she looks just like me. But you think
00:01:23about like when he first came on the roster and the horror stories. He looked like a smart-ass
00:01:28little prick. He was somebody you want to just smack the taste out of his mouth. I don't make
00:01:35a very good first impression. I don't know if anyone knows this, but the biggest celebrity
00:01:39is standing right in front of you right now. He sometimes has a big mouth. People just saw
00:01:45me a certain way. A loud, arrogant reality star. I hate him! I personally hate him! Who is this
00:01:51guy coming in from this MTV show? F*** this guy. Sometimes being a d*** doesn't make yours bigger.
00:01:56Maintaining relevance is a challenge. School in session tonight! I have seen many a superstar get
00:02:05washed away by the changing tides. I'm going to get fired. Get that camera right here! I will be
00:02:12respected. This is my show! It's like, what do you do? Do you quit? I've never seen nobody fall so low
00:02:24and still come back up and be where he is today. The Miz on top of the world! Who's laughing now? Who's
00:02:33going to the bank? I'm not done yet. Whether fans believe it, whether the locker room believes it,
00:02:43I believe it. And I will make everyone believe it. I was born Michael Gregory Mizanin in Parma,
00:03:00Ohio in 1980. I was an only child growing up. Fifth grade, my parents got a divorce
00:03:08and I was one of those kids that looked at it like two Christmases, two birthdays. That's the
00:03:13way my parents sold it to me and it sold me like a million bucks. Hey, have I been good or not?
00:03:20I was the type of kid that just ignored all that stuff, like ignored all drama.
00:03:24You know, like when your parents get a divorce, usually it's traumatic for some kids and for me,
00:03:32it really wasn't. I fight for a lot of attention and I need a lot of attention, but at the time,
00:03:38I just kind of went about my way. Hey, Michael, how you doing, buddy? Good, good, good. I didn't
00:03:45really do well in school, I guess you can say. I didn't care. He came home with this report card.
00:03:51It was the D's and C's for effort F, conduct F. I said, Mike, you're not a smart kid. Every three
00:03:59months you're going to come home with this report card and I'm going to yell at you and holler at
00:04:03you. It makes no sense. You're just not too smart. My dad, he picked up a mop, a broom and was like,
00:04:12here. And I go, what is this? He goes, well, this is what you're going to do for the rest of your
00:04:16life. About three weeks later, the teacher called me and said, what did you do to this kid? I said,
00:04:21why? He says, he's turned into my star pupil. That kind of hit me a little bit. And so then I started
00:04:27doing my homework. That's what you need, right? To motivate. Whenever I'm the person that people
00:04:35are rooting for, I don't do well, but whenever people are second guessing me and telling me
00:04:43that I'm not very good at something, that sets me up for success. Like I was really good at
00:04:49baseball, right? And when I was told, oh, you'll be going to varsity my freshman year, I didn't do
00:04:56very well. I didn't do very well until someone moved past me and I was like, wait, what? And
00:05:03then I started locking in. That's just my Michael. He's determined. And if someone says, well, you
00:05:11got to try harder, he's going to do it. He's just going to strive and keep going.
00:05:20He always had dreams of, you know, becoming famous and he was never shy.
00:05:29You'd hear him coming before you saw him coming. He has just endless charisma and, you know,
00:05:36he found ways to let that out.
00:05:41I was always a hand for the camera being like, oh, I was that guy. You don't believe I was that
00:05:48guy. Just look at the documentary on Netflix about Woodstock because I'm the first person
00:05:54you see going Woodstock 99, baby. So anytime there's a camera around, I was always in front
00:06:04of it. And maybe it's because I've always had a camera with me like my dad's VHS. It puts an
00:06:10energy in me that I can't describe. Even when I went to college, I'm sitting in my fraternity.
00:06:18I just didn't know what I wanted to do, but I knew business classes was not it.
00:06:23I was loving college, hated the classes. I remember watching The Real World New Orleans
00:06:29season nine on the screen. It says, hey, do you want to be on The Real World?
00:06:34Here's how you try out. The Real World was a reality television revolution where they just
00:06:42moved strangers into a house and seeing young people just interacting organically was not
00:06:50something that had really been on television before. And I started making a video of what
00:06:57I thought would be cool to send as my audition video. I was trying out for the biggest show out
00:07:03there. Sixty thousand people try out, everyone telling me you're not going to make it. You're
00:07:06not going to do it. No way. No how. People from Parma didn't get on TV. Even his friends,
00:07:12although we supported him, we also thought he was crazy. Yes, I was one of the ones that thought he
00:07:17was absolutely nuts. It was OK, Mizanin, you're going to be on The Real World. And then I get a
00:07:22call back and they're like, whoa, they're doing an audition in Detroit. I had to do an in-person
00:07:30interview. I'll never forget this question that was asked me. You're an onion and I peel away
00:07:38your family, peel away your friends, peel away the fat guy. What's at the core of Mike Mizanin?
00:07:46And I thought about it and I remember the feeling. It was like a sinking feeling
00:07:52because I didn't know. I didn't have an answer to that question.
00:07:56They started asking me questions. They started making me think about things that I don't usually
00:08:01think about. Your parents divorce. How did that affect you? It didn't affect me much.
00:08:06Didn't. Why did your parents get a divorce? Well, I don't know. How did that make your dad feel?
00:08:15I don't know. Probably pretty bad. How do you think your mom felt? Well,
00:08:20they weren't getting along. Why weren't they getting along? I don't know. So then I started
00:08:26like understanding. I was like, wow, this is this is like not tough, but it makes you think
00:08:34like you would think after all those really hard hitting questions that were really touching my
00:08:39heart and really making me think I don't ever want to do this again. But I said I remember
00:08:43when I'm driving going, I have to make this show. This show will make me a better person.
00:08:49I have to get on it. Each season when we cast the real world, we're always looking for that
00:08:55outsider, that fish out of water. And Mike was one of those people. And I'll never forget when
00:09:04John Murray announced my name. There I was one of the cast members of season 10 of Real World
00:09:09Back to New York. We didn't understand what New York was at that point in our life because
00:09:17it's the big city, it's the Big Apple. So for him to go off to New York was a huge step.
00:09:24We don't generally think that big. And the real world was as big as it got.
00:09:30And Mike saw that Mike wanted it.
00:09:37This kid from Ohio was now being hit with every imaginable pitfall that you get.
00:09:46Hanging out with all kinds of different people in the most diverse city in the world.
00:09:52I know that he felt like he didn't fit in. He had conflict with other cast members in the house.
00:10:02I kind of don't have a filter and I don't have an off switch and I'm a lot
00:10:07for people when you first meet me. I don't make good first impressions. I'm too much for him.
00:10:13Like I'm just too much. I know I'm too much and I even try to like not be too much.
00:10:18And I just start talking and sometimes I say things that that offend people.
00:10:23God this is gonna be another one of those things where some petty crap that she just
00:10:28needs to argue about. He sometimes has a big mouth and he doesn't hide his emotions.
00:10:34I was uncomfortable. The house was uncomfortable. So I created a character on the real world to
00:10:42feel comfortable in my own skin because I wasn't even comfortable as being Mike anymore.
00:10:48Mike had this other persona. This thing that he had been working on since he was a kid.
00:10:56This wrestling character called The Miz.
00:11:03Growing up WWE was my favorite.
00:11:07The greatest professional athlete in the world today.
00:11:11These characters were just so much fun and so entertaining. I loved everything about it.
00:11:25He created this alter ego The Miz and the cast mates that he lived with like The Miz
00:11:31more than they did the actual Mike from Parma, Ohio.
00:11:36And I think that's because The Miz was was channeling all that charisma through this
00:11:43absurd character. The Miz is just an amplification of Mike. That was just a release. That was him
00:11:51finally finding a medium to say I have all these thoughts, all this passion in my head.
00:11:58I can let it out via this. And for me, maybe it's attention. Maybe it's a camera filming me
00:12:09and it's giving me the attention that I want. Everyone wanted to see The Miz.
00:12:16And the one episode where The Miz came out, I was never Mike again.
00:12:22You just don't get it, do you? I wouldn't be sitting here right now talking about my life
00:12:27if it wasn't for that show.
00:12:32Once I got back from the real world, the option was, do you want to go back to college?
00:12:36What do you want to do? He came back home and he was a caged animal. He knew he wanted more.
00:12:44And he's back home in Cleveland with with limited opportunity to explore more.
00:12:51When I went out, everyone would be like, can you do The Miz? Can you do The Miz? Can you do The
00:12:56Miz? And then I'd go to a club. The owner of the club would be like, hey, can you get on the
00:13:00microphone and do The Miz? And I swear to you, it felt like a phenomenon. So I can go back to college
00:13:08and do what my dad wants me to do. Or I could do what I what everyone feels like, seems like
00:13:18I'm feeling like The Miz. I remember seeing The Rock's action figure on
00:13:24my shelf that my castmates from the real world gave to me.
00:13:30And me looking in the mirror going, all right, what do I want to do?
00:13:37I want to become a WWE superstar.
00:13:39Once the real world was over, I looked up independent wrestling schools
00:13:45and there was one in California. Let's get that UPW chant going. UPW! UPW!
00:13:52I said, I'm going to move to California away from everything I know. I knew no one in California.
00:14:00Got a nutritionist, found a restaurant, got a job. I'm going to move to California.
00:14:06California. Got a nutritionist, found a gym, got improv classes, acting classes.
00:14:11You see, the new breed of wrestling is coming in. It comes as The Miz.
00:14:16I was doing everything I possibly could to just knock on the door of WWE, but they weren't calling.
00:14:25So when you move to LA, the cool thing is I'm an actor or I'm an actress, not I want to be
00:14:32a WWE superstar. I remember going to clubs and being like, I want to be a WWE superstar.
00:14:37They would laugh at me and look at me like I was a joke. And at that time, the real world
00:14:42was a popular show, but you weren't looked at like a TV star. You were looked at like a hack.
00:14:51Ultimate Pro Wrestling was in the back alley of buildings in El Segundo.
00:14:59And as you're driving up, you're going, this is, this is kind of shady.
00:15:03Well, here's our first chance to see The Miz in the ring, Mike Buzanin.
00:15:08I would get matches here and there. Sometimes I would literally perform for 10 people. Here I am
00:15:14on national television, you know, one of the most popular shows out there, and I'm performing for 10
00:15:19people. He wasn't big enough. He was a college kid. He wasn't built like that. And I'm saying,
00:15:26what are you doing? I remember being in my bed going like, what am I doing?
00:15:34And then everyone's telling you, like, why are you doing this? Like, why? I don't, I don't get
00:15:38it. And then there'd be moments where you just, you look at yourself and you're like, can I really
00:15:41do this? Is this ever going to happen? I mean, it's three years in the rest for three years.
00:15:50Nobody wanted me like, is this ever going to happen? My body is killing me.
00:15:55I'm doing everything I can. I can't think of anything else. Is
00:15:57this supposed to happen? Is this not going to happen? Do I have what it takes?
00:16:04My confidence was at an all time low. I was broke.
00:16:11It's like, what do you do? You know, do you quit?
00:16:15And then someone WWE calls, says, hey,
00:16:25we would like you to audition for Tough Enough. What if we told you it was a million dollar
00:16:31WWE contract of for grabs? WWE Tough Enough was a competition reality show
00:16:39to win a WWE contract and a million dollars.
00:16:46To be honest, I don't think I wanted to be on Tough Enough because I wanted respect
00:16:49in the industry. And I remember hearing anyone from Tough Enough, oh, they're just given a
00:16:54contract. I didn't want to be given anything. I never want to be given anything. But
00:17:01are they knocking on your door before? This is your opportunity. And so I go, OK, let's do this.
00:17:09Let's go. So I get off the bus for the Tough Enough tryout, which is literally a hundred
00:17:17yards that way. And I just look at guys that are like six foot five, pure solid muscle.
00:17:25And I'm like, oh, my God, there's no way they're going to pick me out of these 50 guys.
00:17:30Number three. How's it going, guys? Great. Tell us your name, please.
00:17:33I am Mike Xana. What are you going to do to convince us that you're not here just to be on
00:17:37TV or for the money since you seem to be a reality show addict? This was a clear indicator that the
00:17:46reality star stigma was going to be an issue. Yeah, I guess I am kind of a reality show addict.
00:17:53But the thing is, I've been on TV before. I'm I'm known all over America. I didn't know you.
00:17:59Well, some people know me. That's fine. Hopefully you will get to know me.
00:18:04Coming off of Mike's season of the real world and a few years after that is when you really
00:18:09started to see the boom of reality stars, whether it was a Paris Hilton or the Kardashians.
00:18:17Reality stars were definitely looked at as several rungs below actual stars.
00:18:23But this is an opportunity to showcase what you got. And I think the first thing that we did
00:18:30was go through an obstacle course. Half the guys couldn't even do it.
00:18:33Hurry up. Under, under. I get up on TV. Maybe you'd be better suited for a sitcom
00:18:39because I'm about to laugh my ass off as you run this course.
00:18:41It's like, well, how fast can you do it? I'll do it in three minutes. Three minutes.
00:18:46That's it. I'll do it under three. And I literally went to myself and went,
00:18:50Oh, no. What did you just do, Mike? Come on, you said under three minutes.
00:18:56My lungs are just feel like they're on fire. Get mad like he did on the show.
00:19:01And I literally run through. Yes.
00:19:09I think I impressed a lot of people that day. Screw reality TV.
00:19:12Yes, sir. And I'll never forget.
00:19:17And I'll never forget my name being called to be one of the cast members of Tough Enough.
00:19:29When I found out he was on Tough Enough, I thought he was crazy. There's no way WWE
00:19:33is ever going to hire you. You're a reality TV star. You're never going to be a WWE superstar.
00:19:39There's no way.
00:19:45When he was on Tough Enough, I never in a million years thought he'd get fired.
00:19:50It's time for the Tough Enough competition. Look at Mizanin taking it to Buda Royale.
00:19:56You go through Tough Enough and I make it all the way to the final two.
00:20:01And the audience has decided.
00:20:03And I'll never forget Al Snow saying, the winner of Tough Enough.
00:20:10Daniel Puder, you are Tough Enough.
00:20:15Congratulations to Daniel Puder.
00:20:18The look of disappointment on the face of Mizanin.
00:20:21I'll never forget because I don't even want to.
00:20:28Maybe this isn't for you. Maybe you shouldn't be here.
00:20:31I mean, obviously the fans didn't vote for you. Fans don't want you.
00:20:37All day I was feeling, you know, this could be my day.
00:20:41Yeah, that got taken away.
00:20:45I was doing everything I possibly could. And then I still,
00:20:48even when you get an opportunity, you can't win. You're not getting it.
00:20:53So I don't know what to do.
00:20:55You'll be there sooner than you think.
00:20:56I hope so.
00:20:58I didn't care about the million dollars.
00:21:01I wanted the contract. I wanted the contract.
00:21:04And then I thought, I'm done.
00:21:23I'm telling you, I was done.
00:21:26But I get a call. They said, we'd like to sign you to a developmental deal.
00:21:33What?
00:21:35You have to move to our new developmental facility.
00:21:40And you need to be there as fast as you can.
00:21:51I really wasn't involved much in the Tough Enough process.
00:21:55But I do remember at that time, I was more looking in terms of the character and the voice.
00:22:00And is this person someone that you can write for and put in a storyline?
00:22:06Miz certainly had a face that you kind of wanted to smack.
00:22:10So you could see he's a natural heel.
00:22:12And you could see that there was something there.
00:22:16Honestly, it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't win Tough Enough.
00:22:20Because I went to train and develop.
00:22:23And Daniel Pewter was kind of thrown to the wolves when he wasn't ready.
00:22:29Meanwhile, in Deep South, I mean, it was tough.
00:22:34The reason it was so tough is because you weed the people out
00:22:37that aren't going to make it, aren't going to cut it when you get up
00:22:40to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown.
00:22:42Miz, so energetic and pumped up here.
00:22:47I remember waking up every morning.
00:22:49Good, one more day, you can do it.
00:22:51One more day, you can do it.
00:22:52Eye on the prize.
00:22:53After six months, we had to turn people away.
00:23:05And so then I get told Vince wants to see you.
00:23:17And I'm like, oh my God, Vince McMahon.
00:23:21So I knock on the door,
00:23:22Come in.
00:23:24Yes, sir.
00:23:25I go in.
00:23:26I sit down.
00:23:27He goes, I see you as the Ryan Seacrest of WWE.
00:23:34When you want to be a WWE superstar,
00:23:37that is not what you want to hear.
00:23:40You want to hear like, I see you as the next Rock,
00:23:43as my next main eventer.
00:23:45Not, we see you as the host.
00:23:49Yo, what's up?
00:23:50I'm The Miz, and I am your host.
00:23:52The Friday Night SmackDown!
00:23:56Hoorah!
00:23:58Miz had been in tough enough, but there
00:24:00was a feeling that Miz wasn't big enough
00:24:02to get in the ring and bump around a little bit
00:24:06and do some physicality.
00:24:08And for Miz, it was even more difficult
00:24:12because of the stigma of being a reality TV star.
00:24:15I think it caused people to root for his failure
00:24:19instead of getting on his side and rooting for a success.
00:24:25A couple months go by.
00:24:28They say, we want you to be the host of the Diva Search, which
00:24:31is finding the new woman WWE superstar.
00:24:34WWE Diva Search!
00:24:36Woo!
00:24:39And I was like, oh my gosh.
00:24:41How am I going to be able to do this?
00:24:43But the Diva Search was bittersweet
00:24:46because I met my wife.
00:24:49The love of my life.
00:24:51Hi, guys.
00:24:52How are you doing?
00:24:54I can tell your name, please.
00:24:55Maryse.
00:24:56Maryse.
00:24:57I'll never forget the first time she walked into the room,
00:24:59just stunning, drop dead gorgeous,
00:25:04but couldn't speak any English whatsoever.
00:25:08Can I explain why I'm here?
00:25:09Just, yeah.
00:25:13So I'm just standing there, and they obviously all
00:25:15saw that I wasn't able to say anything.
00:25:18So, Maryse goes, why don't you cut a promo in French?
00:25:35That's awesome.
00:25:37I have never been so scared and turned on in my entire life.
00:25:41I don't know what she said, but after she walked out,
00:25:45Thank you very much.
00:25:46we all looked at each other and go, she's in.
00:25:52Thank you very, great job.
00:25:59No, it's funny.
00:26:00He's such like a good villain.
00:26:01And somehow, I feel like I'm making you.
00:26:05You're supposed to make me endearing.
00:26:06Like, what a great husband.
00:26:07You make me more radical.
00:26:09No, I feel like people feel sorry for me at first,
00:26:12and then it's switched.
00:26:13Feels sorry for you for being with me.
00:26:16I'm a catch.
00:26:17Yes, you are.
00:26:18I'm a catch.
00:26:18Yes, you are.
00:26:19I'm not saying you're not.
00:26:20I feel sorry for you.
00:26:20They're envious of you.
00:26:21You're a lot.
00:26:22You have a big mouth.
00:26:23Envious.
00:26:23Your mouth is big.
00:26:25By the way, I'm doing this so I can have more time to rest.
00:26:29Milk in that restaurant.
00:26:30After the diva search, Maryse and I started dating.
00:26:33So I went and got a book that could
00:26:35teach you how to speak French.
00:26:37Didn't learn at all, but it's a thought that counts, right?
00:26:43I could speak English, but he was still
00:26:45having this kind of little attitude about him.
00:26:48I'm trying to be cool.
00:26:49I'm trying to be Miz.
00:26:51It was just a lot of really entertaining.
00:26:55So it was just funny to see how Miz would become Mike,
00:26:58and Mike would become Miz, and how they were just almost
00:27:02like two different people.
00:27:04There's motivation for you.
00:27:05That'll motivate me.
00:27:06Perfect.
00:27:07They really liked him.
00:27:08He was really cute.
00:27:10And then the rest was kind of history.
00:27:21So we did the diva search casting special,
00:27:24and then we brought him into the ring.
00:27:26So if you're ready to see these finalists,
00:27:28let me hear you say hoorah.
00:27:31Monday Night Raw is the flagship show of the WWE.
00:27:36There is no bigger week-to-week stage than Monday Night Raw.
00:27:41We all know that the sexiest women in the world
00:27:45are the sexiest women on television are in the WWE.
00:27:54I literally just watched that recently.
00:27:56It is truly one of the most horrifying moments
00:27:59in the history of live television.
00:28:01I had like six pages of dialogue.
00:28:04There's no cue cards.
00:28:05There's no teleprompter.
00:28:06It's just in your memory, and you need to go, go, go.
00:28:09And we are live, by the way.
00:28:11We don't get a second take.
00:28:12We'll get a second take.
00:28:13Now, to vote for these beautiful young ladies,
00:28:16you have to vote go to WWE.
00:28:23You have this guy who had scratched, and clawed,
00:28:27and done everything humanly possible to make it
00:28:30through the doors of WWE.
00:28:32And here he is botching that opportunity on live television.
00:28:38And then a cold sweat came over me,
00:28:40and my entire mind went blank.
00:28:43And then I started hearing the audience.
00:28:44You can feel an audience drain out
00:28:48and know that you are messing up.
00:28:54The most important thing I had to remember
00:28:58was the phone number, and I forgot it.
00:29:01So I looked on my wrist.
00:29:03I was sweating so much that it erased off my wrist.
00:29:06Dial 86946 and vote for your favorite Diva Search
00:29:12contestant and text message your favorite Diva Search girl
00:29:16and dance to her name.
00:29:19That was rough.
00:29:21It was like watching someone get attacked by a shark.
00:29:25And I remember going backstage and just sweating
00:29:29and lump in my throat, butterflies in my stomach,
00:29:32thinking I'm going to get fired.
00:29:41Dial 86946 and vote for your favorite Diva Search contestant
00:29:47and text message your favorite Diva Search girl.
00:29:52Vince is the last person you see when you go out to the audience
00:29:57and the first person you see when you come back.
00:30:00That's intimidating as it is, right?
00:30:03If he would have fired me right there, I would have understood.
00:30:07He didn't.
00:30:10He gave me another chance.
00:30:14I think Vince could clearly see Mrs. Charisma,
00:30:18but he could also see the drive in him.
00:30:22That was one epically botched promo,
00:30:25but Vince has a pretty long leash when
00:30:28it comes to people he trusts.
00:30:31And it created a moment.
00:30:33The crowd started really booing me and hating me.
00:30:37It's time for the featured attraction of the evening.
00:30:41Hoorah!
00:30:43Same reason why he gets booed by WWE fans
00:30:47was the same reason why Mike Mizanin at first
00:30:50was not liked by his cast members on the real world.
00:30:55He had the same ego.
00:30:59We know this guy.
00:31:00We don't like this guy.
00:31:02We want someone to shut him up.
00:31:04So the powers that be see the reaction.
00:31:08And they're like, if they hate him this much,
00:31:11let's let them hate him in the ring
00:31:13and throw him in there as a superstar.
00:31:16I remember when I got the call, hey, you got gear?
00:31:18Yes, sir, I do have gear.
00:31:20Good.
00:31:21You're wrestling next week.
00:31:23Welcome to World Wrestling Entertainment, a reality show.
00:31:27How about we book Paris Hilton, OK?
00:31:29Since we booked the freaking Miz.
00:31:32A lot of people that come from the entertainment business
00:31:34that aren't wrestlers, I know back in the day
00:31:37they had a hard time not having paid dues
00:31:40or not having enough respect.
00:31:42This is hurting.
00:31:43He's hurting.
00:31:44What about me?
00:31:45I'm watching you.
00:31:46He was kind of like an outcast, coming from that MTV world.
00:31:50A lot of guys thought Miz was going to be here today
00:31:53and going tomorrow.
00:31:54Who is this guy coming in from this MTV show
00:31:57thinking he can do what we do?
00:32:01It's like, f*** this guy.
00:32:04And not only that, like, I am sometimes loud, no filter,
00:32:12kind of say what's on my mind.
00:32:13Ha, ha, ha, JBL.
00:32:17I was rubbing people the wrong way.
00:32:20He looked like a smart-ass little prick.
00:32:22If Mike was somebody, then he would have just
00:32:25smacked the taste out of his mouth.
00:32:26Ah!
00:32:29He's coming in as this reality star.
00:32:31The mentality of the locker room was, we can tell.
00:32:34You're using this as a stepping stone for Hollywood.
00:32:37And we're going to do everything in our power
00:32:39to make you crack.
00:32:43One day, we were at a live event.
00:32:45I was eating a piece of chicken in the locker room.
00:32:49I start eating.
00:32:50Someone walks in and says, dude, you're eating over my bag.
00:32:54You're getting it all over the place.
00:32:55And then another person walks in,
00:32:57and the other person's like, what?
00:32:58You were eating over everyone's bags?
00:33:00Why were you doing that?
00:33:00Unbelievable.
00:33:01Are you kidding?
00:33:02Are you that disrespectful?
00:33:03It was almost like I took my chicken,
00:33:05and I was just like, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:33:08Om, om, om, om.
00:33:09Om, om, om.
00:33:10Ah!
00:33:11Oh, oh, oh, here's your bag.
00:33:13Boom!
00:33:14Boom!
00:33:15Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:33:16That's the way it felt.
00:33:20The stigma was that Ms. had not yet
00:33:24earned the right to be there in some people's eyes.
00:33:27The person that yelled at me brought me over and was like,
00:33:29look, I don't want you in the locker room.
00:33:32You don't deserve to be in the locker room.
00:33:34You don't deserve to change with us.
00:33:35You're not one of the boys.
00:33:37Find another place to change.
00:33:42Now you had to go dress in broom closets
00:33:44and kind of find little hallways where nobody was.
00:33:51When I had to use the restroom, I
00:33:52had to go out into where the audience would use
00:33:55the restroom and where fans would literally
00:33:57I'd hear the rumblings.
00:33:58Like, hey, the Ms. is in the bathroom.
00:33:59And I'm like, oh, my god.
00:34:00This is so humiliating.
00:34:02Boom!
00:34:04Two, one, boom!
00:34:08Six months goes by where I'm not in the locker room,
00:34:10not one of the boys.
00:34:12But I had a match with The Undertaker.
00:34:18He's the top guy, the top veteran.
00:34:21He's a locker room leader.
00:34:25And when I was in that ring with him, I think I impressed him.
00:34:29Last ride!
00:34:30A last ride through the announce table!
00:34:36Undertaker wasn't the guy that kicked me out of the locker
00:34:39room, but he is the guy you go to to ask to be let back in.
00:34:47So I asked Taker, I go, I've been in the locker room
00:34:50for six months.
00:34:51That's a long time.
00:34:53Oh, yeah.
00:34:54I feel like I've learned a lot these past six months.
00:34:59And I feel if you would let me in,
00:35:03I would show respect to all of the WWE superstars
00:35:07and everyone in the back.
00:35:09I just want to be a sponge, and I want to learn from everyone.
00:35:15He said, you can come to the locker room again.
00:35:17And I never felt so better.
00:35:19I was like, wow.
00:35:22He gave me kind of the seal of approval to others.
00:35:27And once that happened, the ride started going up.
00:35:40There you go.
00:35:41Keep going.
00:35:42Come on.
00:35:43I can go more.
00:35:44Let's go.
00:35:45Come on.
00:35:46Big breath.
00:35:47Big push.
00:35:48Come on.
00:35:49Come on.
00:35:50Yes, sir.
00:35:51Nice.
00:35:52I could have gotten more, but you know.
00:35:53So with that.
00:35:54They kicked him out of the dressing room.
00:35:55That's alarming.
00:35:56He went through a lot of s**t that was unnecessary
00:36:00and shouldn't be tolerated.
00:36:02Sometimes being a s**t doesn't make yours bigger, you know?
00:36:08Try your five more.
00:36:09One, two.
00:36:10Just the crap that he had to deal with.
00:36:13We all had to deal with it at some level, but not like Mike.
00:36:17No one would have thought any less if he walked away.
00:36:21The fact that he didn't just speaks to what kind of determination that he has.
00:36:31He didn't let it affect him.
00:36:33He didn't come kicking rocks into the arena every day.
00:36:37A lesser person would have quit, but I never saw him throw a fit.
00:36:43Come on.
00:36:44Keep going.
00:36:45You got five.
00:36:46He did not crack when all the elements were in place to make him crack.
00:36:52We're done, right?
00:36:53Great.
00:36:54Thanks for the work you got, Matt.
00:36:55Appreciate it.
00:36:56We are back on Friday Night SmackDown.
00:36:58Here he comes.
00:36:59Reality check time.
00:37:01Here's the cover.
00:37:02Hook of the leg.
00:37:03Another huge win for Miz.
00:37:05I think in 07, people started to accept he's a WWE superstar.
00:37:12Like the reality guy is actually a professional.
00:37:17Hey, Miz.
00:37:18Tell you what.
00:37:19Looking pretty sharp here.
00:37:22And then John Morrison and myself started forming a tag team.
00:37:26You never know what's going to happen to the team of Miz and Morrison.
00:37:29He was like, I'm going to be a champion one day.
00:37:31You just watch.
00:37:33And we were like, Miz, do you believe your own bulls**t?
00:37:35Yes.
00:37:36Yes, I do.
00:37:38You're looking at a new SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
00:37:42Morrison and the Miz.
00:37:44That was the first time that I realized that this was going someplace.
00:37:51But tag teams can be split.
00:37:54And John got drafted to SmackDown.
00:37:59I got drafted to Monday Night Raw.
00:38:01And the first night I was on Raw, I went after the biggest poster child,
00:38:07the biggest star in all of WWE, John Cena.
00:38:11I'm here to challenge John Cena.
00:38:18And I still see you out there.
00:38:22You are looking live.
00:38:23The jam-packed ArcCorp Arena in Sacramento as we welcome you to The Bash.
00:38:27Things just got ramped up for the arrival of John Cena.
00:38:31I was full of confidence.
00:38:33And at the time, it was the biggest moment of my life.
00:38:37For Miz, his first big match at a major pay-per-view.
00:38:42But John Cena just mopped the floor with me.
00:38:48Attitude adjustment to the man who many believe needed his attitude adjusted.
00:38:54When you get in there with John Cena,
00:38:57you end up sort of realizing,
00:38:59I'm kind of small time next to this guy.
00:39:03Miz has no choice but to tap out.
00:39:07Tapping fast and furiously.
00:39:12Literally, he walked all over me.
00:39:14Like, it was like, one, two, three.
00:39:16And as he's walking out, wiped the floor with his feet.
00:39:19Like, kind of like...
00:39:20School in session tonight in Sacramento.
00:39:23And I was like, wow.
00:39:25All that work I thought was going somewhere.
00:39:27The question I have is, did Miz learn anything from this lesson?
00:39:31The upside of just getting crushed by a prime John Cena
00:39:37is that it taught the Miz a valuable lesson.
00:39:40You see exactly what it can be.
00:39:44And the heights that you can be at.
00:39:46And by the way, just because John mopped the floor with me
00:39:49doesn't mean that it was like, oh, John was mean to me
00:39:52or disrespectful towards me.
00:39:54If anything, he was helping me.
00:39:57And he was teaching me.
00:39:59In order to get to a John Cena level,
00:40:02you need to go through the wars and the battles.
00:40:07John Cena.
00:40:09John Cena.
00:40:11John Cena.
00:40:13John Cena.
00:40:14And the battles.
00:40:16And that's what I set out to do.
00:40:23Working with John at that time
00:40:25was probably one of the best things for Miz to do
00:40:27because in many ways, they're parallels with each other.
00:40:30John had a rocky beginning.
00:40:32And then all of a sudden, like, won people over
00:40:34and won their respect.
00:40:35So John always kept a very level head
00:40:38and always saw the big picture.
00:40:39And I think a lot of that rubbed off on Miz.
00:40:42John Cena taught me what it takes to be
00:40:45the caliber of superstar I needed to be
00:40:47to be WWE champion.
00:40:54I don't think it was me consciously trying to
00:40:56bestow any personal experience.
00:40:58It was just me wanting to do good work.
00:41:00And Mike was a sponge.
00:41:03That's how relationships and bonds are built.
00:41:07Hey, all the pros do it, alright?
00:41:09Hey, all the pros do it, alright?
00:41:11When you're up in Hollywood, that's what they make you do.
00:41:14And from there, man, I went through a year
00:41:18doing everything I possibly could.
00:41:24Telling talent relations,
00:41:25hey, if there's any interviews, any TV spots,
00:41:28anything that nobody wants to do,
00:41:30I will do that.
00:41:31China has offered us to come out here
00:41:33and we said absolutely we'll come to China
00:41:36because it's WWE.
00:41:37A lot of people take those asks as a burden
00:41:41and he always looked at them as an opportunity.
00:41:43Are you the guy from the real world?
00:41:44I am the guy from the real world.
00:41:45You always get into fights and get drunk.
00:41:47I don't think so.
00:41:49I think I'm the nice guy in the real world.
00:41:51He doesn't complain, he doesn't make excuses.
00:41:55He puts his head down and he works.
00:42:00Who's here for the very first time, anybody?
00:42:02During this time, Vince McMahon, the boss,
00:42:05was teaching promo class to up-and-coming superstars.
00:42:14Someone goes up and another person goes up,
00:42:16another person goes up.
00:42:19And one day, he picked me last.
00:42:25You are all looking at me like the star I am.
00:42:27I walk, talk, look and act like a star.
00:42:30Unlike you people.
00:42:31Yeah, you all are jealous of me
00:42:33because I'm going to be a future WWE champion.
00:42:36Isn't that incredible?
00:42:38By the end of it, Vince came up to me and goes,
00:42:40you know why I waited for you to go last?
00:42:47Because I knew you could finish it.
00:42:49Great job today.
00:42:50And I was like, wow.
00:42:52And that's when I went, okay.
00:42:55All right, he's got something.
00:42:57Now I stand before you a new man,
00:43:00new attitude, same mouth.
00:43:03You could see it.
00:43:04See the light bulbs going off
00:43:06and with that comes the confidence.
00:43:10He realized, like Rocky Balboa,
00:43:13that life's not about how hard you can hit.
00:43:16Life's about how hard you can get hit
00:43:18and keep getting up.
00:43:19I'd rather you all hate me for everything I am
00:43:22than love me for something I'm not.
00:43:24He'd ask questions, student of the game.
00:43:27So all of those things started to click
00:43:29and this was his time to either take the ball
00:43:32and run with it or settle into mediocrity.
00:43:35And he took the ball.
00:43:38Then to get a title opportunity
00:43:40against someone like Randy Orton
00:43:42was a testament to the growth that he'd shown
00:43:45in the first few years of his career.
00:43:48This is a title that was held by
00:43:50Ultimate Warrior Hulk Hogan,
00:43:52Randy Macho Man Savage,
00:43:54Stone Cold Steve Austin,
00:43:55The Rock, and possibly me.
00:43:59The Miz.
00:44:00Miz! Smell-testing finale!
00:44:02The Miz! Here's the cover!
00:44:04Hook of the leg!
00:44:06He did it! Miz is champion!
00:44:08Miz is champion!
00:44:14The Miz on top of the world!
00:44:18You think of the times where
00:44:20you were kicked out of the locker room,
00:44:22people telling you,
00:44:23you don't deserve to be here.
00:44:25All that coming to that moment
00:44:27and it's all going through your head
00:44:28because you just won
00:44:29the most coveted prize in all of WWE.
00:44:38I did it!
00:44:41Congratulations.
00:44:42Thank you very much.
00:44:43Thank you so much for working with me.
00:44:44You're all you do next week.
00:44:46Exactly.
00:44:48The Miz is going to WrestleMania 27
00:44:53as the WWE Champion!
00:45:00You'd think the drama would end there
00:45:02when you become champion,
00:45:03but it doesn't.
00:45:04It gets even bigger and more loud.
00:45:09Nobody believes,
00:45:10nobody believes,
00:45:12nobody believes
00:45:15nobody believes
00:45:17that I should be there.
00:45:18I'm a second-rate champion,
00:45:20yada, yada, yada.
00:45:22In the main event of WrestleMania,
00:45:24I'm going up against John Cena.
00:45:27But during this time,
00:45:30The Rock and Cena are feuding
00:45:32and more people are gravitating towards that
00:45:34than they are against me against Cena.
00:45:38Mike wasn't at that level yet.
00:45:39And quite honestly,
00:45:40I had to make myself relevant
00:45:42because Rock is in his own universe.
00:45:46The Rock is not the WWE Champion.
00:45:51John Cena is not the WWE Champion.
00:45:57It's a tough position to be in
00:45:59when you're that third wheel.
00:46:03And it's very easy to get lost in the shuffle.
00:46:05Like, hey,
00:46:06I finally reached the pinnacle of success
00:46:08and all the focus is on
00:46:10Cena and The Rock.
00:46:12It's a tightrope.
00:46:13It's a tricky minefield.
00:46:15I wanted to make sure that everybody knew
00:46:17who I was
00:46:18and I was the WWE Champion
00:46:21and I will be respected.
00:46:31And The Miz is here.
00:46:32Right here, The Miz.
00:46:33Do you have anything to say to us?
00:46:34This is the most must-see WWE superstar
00:46:37and former student of Normandy High School.
00:46:39To everyone out there,
00:46:40do your homework,
00:46:41get straight A's,
00:46:42and have as much fun as possible.
00:46:43This is high school.
00:46:44It's Normandy High School.
00:46:45And you guys are awesome!
00:46:48Yeah, The Miz!
00:46:52I'm blessed to be one of the few
00:46:53who have been along for the full ride.
00:46:55His whole chase for respect
00:46:57is so unnecessary
00:46:58because he did everything in his power
00:47:00to earn that respect.
00:47:02We saw him do it since high school.
00:47:04Oh, there I am.
00:47:05Look at that.
00:47:06A huge, huge picture of me.
00:47:09Gigantic.
00:47:11If something didn't go his way,
00:47:14he found another path.
00:47:17I'm also going to test you guys
00:47:18on WWE and your knowledge.
00:47:20And so, who is the current
00:47:22Intercontinental Champion?
00:47:24John Cena.
00:47:26No, John Cena is not
00:47:28the current Intercontinental Champion.
00:47:29He's not a champion at all.
00:47:31And so, for Mike to be
00:47:34in that whole road to WrestleMania
00:47:36with Cena and Rock,
00:47:37he could have taken the back seat.
00:47:40But Mike being Mike,
00:47:41he said, no, no, no, no.
00:47:43I'm not to be forgotten.
00:47:45I'm not the afterthought.
00:47:46I have the title.
00:47:48He made sure that he put his stamp on it
00:47:50while he wasn't along for the ride.
00:47:53The road to WrestleMania is heating up.
00:47:56Welcome everyone to Raw.
00:47:57We are sold out.
00:47:59I remember walking into Monday Night Raw
00:48:02and Vince says,
00:48:04today you're going to dress like The Rock.
00:48:06And everybody's going to believe
00:48:08you're The Rock.
00:48:09And I go, I'm not a 6'5",
00:48:12265 pound Samoan.
00:48:14There's no way anyone is going to believe
00:48:17this guy is The Rock.
00:48:18He goes, they'll believe.
00:48:19And I go, Vince, this isn't going to work.
00:48:21I'm going to be a laughingstock.
00:48:23Nobody is going to believe I'm The Rock.
00:48:26They'll believe.
00:48:27Damn it.
00:48:29Okay, yes, sir.
00:48:31You're going to put a bald cap on.
00:48:32You're going to put sunglasses on.
00:48:34You're going to cut your sleeves.
00:48:35And you're going to walk out there like The Rock.
00:48:37We're going to blast this music
00:48:38and everybody's going to believe it.
00:48:40So I said, oh my God,
00:48:43this is going to be terrible.
00:48:45This is going to be horrible.
00:48:46Not everyone has the potential to do this.
00:48:49I think Vince saw something in Mike
00:48:51and wanted to give him a chance
00:48:53to use that talent.
00:48:57And so I'm standing there and feeling stupid.
00:49:00And The Rock's music hits.
00:49:09And this place erupts
00:49:11like I've never heard it erupt before.
00:49:14I'm about to walk out.
00:49:15Vince stands up and goes, wait.
00:49:18And I'm like...
00:49:20And he hears the crowd go up, up, up.
00:49:22And he hears them go to a pinnacle.
00:49:25And as soon as they're about to drop down,
00:49:27he goes, nah.
00:49:29I told you The Rock's here.
00:49:32I walk out like The Rock can only walk out.
00:49:37Then I start hearing the crowd realize it's me.
00:49:42Oh, yeah!
00:49:44And I'm like, this is working?
00:49:47Oh, look at this, look at this!
00:49:48Rock bottom!
00:49:52This is one of the greatest things that I've ever seen.
00:49:55It was the first time that the audience
00:49:58said, wow, I want to see The Miz versus John Cena.
00:50:02Give him an inch.
00:50:04Give him a shimmer of daylight,
00:50:06and he will create an atrium.
00:50:08He will just knock the door open.
00:50:10And that day, The Rock called me.
00:50:13And he was like, that's it, you did it, dude.
00:50:15That is it, you sold this match.
00:50:17And I was like, wow, man.
00:50:19By the way, this is my hero growing up.
00:50:21Like, The Rock is the reason I wanted to become
00:50:23a WWE superstar.
00:50:25And he's calling me?
00:50:27Like, he doesn't have to do that.
00:50:29But he did.
00:50:35This is the pinnacle of entertainment.
00:50:38This is WrestleMania.
00:50:41You got to think about where Miz came from, right?
00:50:44Little kid from Cleveland who had a dream
00:50:46to be a WWE superstar.
00:50:48And then he's in the main event at WrestleMania.
00:50:50Cool, I'll see you around.
00:50:51All right, take care.
00:50:52I'll see you around, all right?
00:50:53Call me.
00:50:54I will.
00:50:55Thank you.
00:50:56Does it get any bigger than that?
00:50:58Miz is a very intelligent WWE champion.
00:51:01Cena has never lost a one-on-one match
00:51:04at any WrestleMania.
00:51:05Oh!
00:51:06I still can't believe, even to this day,
00:51:08that I main evented WrestleMania.
00:51:10But it's just like the story of my life, right?
00:51:13Every time there's something great that happens,
00:51:15there's some sort of explosion.
00:51:16Oh!
00:51:17Oh!
00:51:21The one thing that you strive for
00:51:23to be the main event of WrestleMania,
00:51:26and I can't remember it
00:51:28because I got a concussion.
00:51:30I got thrown onto the cement floor
00:51:33and my back of my head hit it.
00:51:35Oh!
00:51:43You've worked your entire life
00:51:44and you've fought through all this adversity
00:51:46to get to this pinnacle of the business,
00:51:48to get on top of the mountain,
00:51:50but you have no recollection of it.
00:51:51It's like some weird Shakespearean tragedy.
00:51:57The way he was walking around
00:51:58with his eyes twirling around and walking around,
00:52:01I thought it was all an act.
00:52:02I thought, boy, is this kid good.
00:52:04Man, he's got me fooled, you know?
00:52:10I didn't know how badly
00:52:11Mike was concussed until afterwards.
00:52:14I remember having six-inch high heels
00:52:16and running down the stadium like 100 miles an hour.
00:52:24But at least he was still moving
00:52:26because the way he had his head,
00:52:28I thought, that's it.
00:52:39Now I'm getting a little bit of a headache.
00:52:42Now I'm getting, like, goosebumps
00:52:44because it's just,
00:52:45it's like I can feel it even now.
00:52:51It's scary.
00:52:55And I thank God that he wasn't hurt dramatically.
00:53:06It's crazy when you think about it
00:53:08because he gets the concussion
00:53:10in the match against Cena at WrestleMania
00:53:13and his career afterwards
00:53:17sort of goes into this fog,
00:53:19into this darkness.
00:53:23Shortly after that, he drops the title
00:53:26and then went through a phase
00:53:29where he was not able to rise to the level
00:53:32that he had just been at.
00:53:36I start spiraling down.
00:53:39So I go from the main event of WrestleMania
00:53:42to not really winning a match that entire year.
00:53:47Sometimes I even thought I would be fired.
00:53:50That's how fast these things can happen,
00:53:52how slippery of a slope it is.
00:53:56It is sad when you see superstars
00:53:58who go from being great to being gone.
00:54:01I have seen many a talented WWE superstar
00:54:05get washed away by the changing tides.
00:54:15I was trying so hard,
00:54:17but I just couldn't find it.
00:54:28It was a good three years
00:54:30where I was just kind of just treading water
00:54:33and I was trying so hard
00:54:35to do everything I possibly could
00:54:37to just figure it out.
00:54:41Like, how do we get back to being
00:54:43what feels like relevant?
00:54:45Because it just wasn't feeling that way.
00:54:49I think any human being would question,
00:54:52like, am I getting older?
00:54:54Am I good enough?
00:54:56Do people care?
00:54:59And I said,
00:55:01f*** people and their expectations, you know?
00:55:03Just do whatever makes you happy.
00:55:08Whenever Maryse is around,
00:55:10it makes me the best me I can possibly be.
00:55:14She just motivates me.
00:55:16She drives me.
00:55:17She just elevates everything that I do.
00:55:20I, Michael, take you, Maryse.
00:55:22I, Michael, take you, Maryse.
00:55:24To be my lawfully wedded wife.
00:55:26To be mine.
00:55:27It's just the way we always support each other
00:55:29and always, you know, put each other over,
00:55:31like we say in wrestling,
00:55:32and we always put each other over.
00:55:34Till death do we depart.
00:55:36Yes.
00:55:37By the way, I'm used to just cutting promos
00:55:39off the way I'm dressed up.
00:55:42By the time you get to 2014,
00:55:44The Miz is essentially an afterthought in WWE.
00:55:49In three, two, one,
00:55:51it's like reintroduce yourself.
00:55:54Maintaining relevance is a challenge.
00:55:57And in Miz's case,
00:55:58there was a little bit of the challenge
00:56:00of trying to find, you know,
00:56:02new ways to stand out.
00:56:08I don't even have a seat anymore.
00:56:09They don't even care about me.
00:56:11That's how important I am.
00:56:13At the time, I was getting movies.
00:56:19And I was only gone for like four weeks.
00:56:23But it was enough time to change up my character.
00:56:26And the character I wanted to do
00:56:28was the A-lister,
00:56:30like a movie star
00:56:32that thinks he's the biggest movie star in the world.
00:56:35I'm back.
00:56:40How can you generate more heat than that?
00:56:42A guy who thinks he's Tom Cruise,
00:56:45but in actuality, he has straight-to-DVD movies.
00:56:48Unlike Hollywood, who actually appreciates me,
00:56:51the WWE universe doesn't realize,
00:56:54doesn't see the A-list talent that I am.
00:56:57They look at me...
00:56:58The Miz found a way.
00:57:01And this is such a brilliant idea
00:57:04because there was truly a stigma
00:57:07about a reality star
00:57:09sort of being the opposite of A-list.
00:57:13And he was making movies,
00:57:16but I don't know how many people
00:57:18would call the Marine 3 a movie.
00:57:21So the idea of him becoming the A-lister
00:57:25is such a brilliant troll.
00:57:27They say it's every man for themselves,
00:57:29but they never had a stunt double
00:57:31who would do anything you say.
00:57:33Life can begin to imitate art.
00:57:35And if you say something long enough,
00:57:38business can start picking up.
00:57:42Zack Ryder with his first
00:57:44Intercontinental Championship defense
00:57:46here tonight against The Miz.
00:57:47I'm not so sure Miz actually deserves
00:57:49this title opportunity.
00:57:50At that time, I was thinking,
00:57:52how do I get back to the main event of WrestleMania?
00:57:55How do I get back to being a champion?
00:57:58That's Zack Ryder's dad that just shook this.
00:58:01I said, oh, okay, here we go.
00:58:05That is Maryse.
00:58:07Maryse comes into the fold,
00:58:09and all of a sudden,
00:58:11you have this incredibly compelling act.
00:58:15Oh, man!
00:58:18Now security gonna haul Maryse out of here.
00:58:20The Miz skull crushing finale.
00:58:22Zack was distracted.
00:58:23Miz hooks the ring.
00:58:24Miz is Intercontinental Champion.
00:58:32In wrestling, when there's truth in storylines,
00:58:37it just hits fans differently.
00:58:39It's a Hollywood love story.
00:58:42There's a real special kind of bond that exists there
00:58:46because Maryse was able to observe
00:58:49everything that her husband went through.
00:58:53Oh, isn't that nice?
00:58:54Oh, it's like Camelot.
00:58:55Isn't that wonderful?
00:58:56This is so happy.
00:58:58Not only winning a title,
00:59:00but having your wife out there,
00:59:01being able to share that experience,
00:59:04there's no words that describe it.
00:59:08And like a phoenix, man,
00:59:10the dude just rolls back from obscurity
00:59:14to being right back in the mainstream of pro wrestling,
00:59:19and not many people have been able to do that.
00:59:23Not many.
00:59:25By coming back like that,
00:59:28he proved us all wrong again.
00:59:36The Miz is a classic example
00:59:39of a superstar with a chip on their shoulder.
00:59:44Even when he got to the point of knowing
00:59:47that he was absolutely like a mainstay and a staple,
00:59:52I think he always wanted to prove
00:59:57to the ghosts of 2006 that he belonged.
01:00:05All those criticisms that the Miz
01:00:07had been dealing with for years,
01:00:09all came to a head,
01:00:11and it led to one of the most passionate interviews
01:00:16that the WWE universe has ever seen.
01:00:19Get that camera right here.
01:00:20This is my show.
01:00:22My show.
01:00:31You guys ready to watch me throw smoke?
01:00:33It's been a while since I played catch, by the way.
01:00:36It's been a while.
01:00:38Talk a little bit about your longevity in WWE.
01:00:41You've had your ups and downs.
01:00:42Do you feel like you're being taken more spiritually
01:00:44than ever in the ring each day?
01:00:46I hope so.
01:00:47I put my best work out there every time I go out.
01:00:49I always give 100%,
01:00:50because I know that the fans, that's what they want.
01:00:53Come on, Baltimore!
01:00:56I think people thought I would be gone in three months,
01:00:58but here I am 10 years later,
01:01:00the current Intercontinental Champion,
01:01:01so it's kind of nice.
01:01:03Thank you, gang.
01:01:04Absolutely. Nice to meet you.
01:01:05Appreciate you, too. I'll see you tomorrow.
01:01:12Yes, this is SmackDown Live,
01:01:14and yes, this is the WWE Draft.
01:01:18And what an exciting moment
01:01:19and a history-changing moment here at WWE.
01:01:22In 2016, a draft is set up
01:01:26where superstars are either drafted to Raw or SmackDown,
01:01:31and with Daniel Bryan as SmackDown's
01:01:34on-screen general manager,
01:01:36he's tasked with making sure the brand
01:01:39doesn't lose any champions.
01:01:42I kind of hate to be doing this,
01:01:45but we need the Intercontinental Championship.
01:01:48SmackDown Live's next pick is The Miz and Maryse.
01:01:55You know, you could have a little bit more excitement.
01:01:58Daniel Bryan was kind of put into this position
01:02:00where even though he doesn't want to,
01:02:03he's forced to draft his old rival The Miz
01:02:07to join him on SmackDown.
01:02:09How are you going to become a star in the WWE, huh?
01:02:13Well, do you know what I was thinking I was going to do
01:02:15is I was going to go on a reality TV show,
01:02:18get a faux hawk,
01:02:19and then come out here and act like an idiot.
01:02:21That's how I always...
01:02:22The Miz and Daniel Bryan are polar opposites.
01:02:27You have The Miz who came up in reality television.
01:02:31You have Daniel Bryan who wrestled in gyms
01:02:36and bingo halls and VFWs.
01:02:39You have these two people
01:02:41with completely opposing philosophies.
01:02:44There was a real resentment
01:02:46that Daniel Bryan had for The Miz.
01:02:48And quite frankly, at that point,
01:02:50I don't think Daniel Bryan had a ton of respect
01:02:52for The Miz either.
01:02:54We just think differently.
01:02:56We really do.
01:02:58So, I don't like Mike, right?
01:03:02I don't like Miz.
01:03:04We just like, hey,
01:03:05we know how to push each other's buttons.
01:03:10I just got drafted to SmackDown,
01:03:13and I was going through a phase where
01:03:16I don't know if I've gained the respect
01:03:19that I truly wanted.
01:03:21And one night, I wasn't on the show.
01:03:26Here I am.
01:03:28So angry that I am not on SmackDown.
01:03:32I went up to one of the creative people
01:03:35at WWE and I said,
01:03:37put me on Talking Smack tonight.
01:03:39Talking Smack would go live
01:03:42on the WWE Network
01:03:44immediately after SmackDown.
01:03:46Ladies and gentlemen,
01:03:47welcome to Talking Smack.
01:03:49I'm Renee Young.
01:03:50Joining me as always,
01:03:53the general manager of SmackDown Live,
01:03:56Daniel Bryan.
01:03:57We have got-
01:03:58Yeah.
01:04:02First of all,
01:04:03let's just talk about how I did not
01:04:05know that this was going to happen.
01:04:08Of course, it was agreed upon that
01:04:10Daniel Bryan and The Miz would both
01:04:12be there.
01:04:13It was agreed upon that the two
01:04:15could have words.
01:04:17But very quickly,
01:04:19it turned into something else
01:04:21that was very, very real.
01:04:23I was a technician.
01:04:24You were doing that weird technique.
01:04:25I think the fact that
01:04:27the Intercontinental Championship
01:04:29wasn't highlighted in SmackDown Live
01:04:31is a draw.
01:04:32That's what I think.
01:04:33I just remember seeing Miz
01:04:35like losing it.
01:04:38This is the last title
01:04:39that you held, Daniel.
01:04:40Last one.
01:04:41The last title.
01:04:42And you said you wanted
01:04:43to make it relevant.
01:04:44You wanted to make it prestigious
01:04:45and honorable.
01:04:46That is what you said.
01:04:47There's some words coming out
01:04:48of your mouth, Daniel.
01:04:49I have respect for you.
01:04:50I have respect for the title.
01:04:51I just don't have respect
01:04:52for the person holding it.
01:04:55And then, you know,
01:04:56it's been a story following him
01:04:57for many years again.
01:04:58You come from the real world.
01:05:00You're only here because
01:05:01you got lucky on the reality show.
01:05:03It's like,
01:05:04when do you stop proving yourself?
01:05:06I guess the kind of thing is
01:05:07that you, to me,
01:05:09there's no gentle way to say it.
01:05:11To me, you wrestle like a coward.
01:05:16You wrestle like somebody
01:05:17who's afraid to get hit.
01:05:18I wrestle like a coward.
01:05:20You wrestle like a coward.
01:05:21Daniel Bryan said
01:05:22I wrestle like a coward.
01:05:25I went black.
01:05:26I don't remember what I said.
01:05:28I really don't.
01:05:29I am here each and every week,
01:05:31but you sit there
01:05:32and call me a coward?
01:05:33Let me tell you about a coward.
01:05:35They're touching on, like,
01:05:36some very personal chords right now.
01:05:39I thought they were gonna
01:05:41beat the crap out of each other.
01:05:42You're the one that doesn't get
01:05:43in the WWE ring again.
01:05:45No, don't you walk away from me, Daniel.
01:05:48And then he walked away,
01:05:49and it infuriated me even more.
01:05:52Don't you walk away.
01:05:53I'm the one that loves the fans.
01:05:55I just spoke from the heart
01:05:57exactly how I felt.
01:05:59Get that camera right here.
01:06:00This is my show.
01:06:02My show.
01:06:03And I'm sick of all of you,
01:06:05my GM,
01:06:06sitting there criticizing me,
01:06:08calling me the coward.
01:06:09You're the cowards.
01:06:10I'm the one here
01:06:11day in and day out
01:06:13in that wrestling ring
01:06:14beating people up.
01:06:16Thank you very much.
01:06:25Okay, the odds.
01:06:27This has been Talking Smack.
01:06:29We will be back the same time
01:06:31next week immediately
01:06:32after SmackDown.
01:06:33Thank you guys for
01:06:34joining us tonight.
01:06:39If you know Miz,
01:06:40you know he has that in him.
01:06:44Believe me,
01:06:45it might have been the first time
01:06:46he verbalized that all out loud,
01:06:47but those thoughts had been
01:06:48festering in his head
01:06:49for quite some time.
01:06:51So it must have been cathartic
01:06:53and therapeutic
01:06:54to be able to do that.
01:06:56And that was a seminal moment
01:06:57in his career
01:06:58where people were like,
01:06:59whoa, this is a side of Miz
01:07:00I've never seen before.
01:07:03It's very rare in WWE
01:07:05that there's a single moment
01:07:08that will shift your perspective
01:07:10on someone forever.
01:07:12There's something about
01:07:13always being the Miz.
01:07:14That requires you
01:07:15to have a wall up constantly.
01:07:18But what we saw on Talking Smack
01:07:21was Mike Mizanin
01:07:23finally voicing all the hardship
01:07:26that he went through
01:07:28and finally talking about
01:07:30the fact that he deserved
01:07:32to be in the spot that he was in.
01:07:35That is a guy
01:07:36that's been carrying this weight
01:07:38on him for years.
01:07:41We all had this realization
01:07:43that this is what's been inside
01:07:46of him the whole time.
01:07:48From that point on,
01:07:50the sky was the limit for the Miz.
01:07:59Am I sitting on this?
01:08:00Yeah.
01:08:01This is not what I signed up for.
01:08:02This is the worst seat
01:08:03in the history of seats.
01:08:04My back hurts.
01:08:05Oh, poor you.
01:08:07Poor Mike.
01:08:09Miz and Mrs. started,
01:08:11I was actually about six months
01:08:13pregnant with Monroe.
01:08:15Does she look like me?
01:08:16I don't know.
01:08:17That's my nose.
01:08:18Oh, my God.
01:08:19That's my nose.
01:08:20Actually, the butt's right here.
01:08:22That's definitely my butt.
01:08:24How do you deal with him?
01:08:25She gets that a lot, by the way.
01:08:27Mike didn't want to do the show
01:08:29because it's reality
01:08:30and he comes from reality
01:08:31and he had all this
01:08:32trying to get out of it.
01:08:34She wants to do a nude photo shoot.
01:08:38I wasn't sure,
01:08:40but I thought the reality TV stuff,
01:08:42I don't look at it as a stigma.
01:08:44I was always proud
01:08:45to be on the real world.
01:08:47Happy Valentine's Day, babe.
01:08:49It was everyone else.
01:08:50Everyone else made me feel
01:08:51like a no-talent hack.
01:08:53You're so freaking cute.
01:08:55You have no talent
01:08:56but just living your life on TV.
01:08:57All right.
01:08:58Thank you guys very much.
01:08:59Bye, guys.
01:09:01Everyone has an opinion,
01:09:03but time has changed.
01:09:04TV's changed.
01:09:05Time has changed.
01:09:06TV's changed.
01:09:07Table's a switch.
01:09:08Wow, that is very pretty.
01:09:10Do you guys want me
01:09:11to autograph that?
01:09:14Everyone in WWE hated him
01:09:16for the fact that he was
01:09:17a reality star.
01:09:19Not everyone is asking him,
01:09:21so how do you do this?
01:09:22How do you become you?
01:09:24I want to be just like you.
01:09:28Now in this era,
01:09:29people want to be the best.
01:09:31Very happy to be joined
01:09:32in studio by a rather awesome guest
01:09:34The Miz.
01:09:35Did you ever think
01:09:36when you started
01:09:37that you would be able
01:09:38to accomplish
01:09:39what you accomplished
01:09:40in the WWE?
01:09:41No.
01:09:42Dad, did you think I would?
01:09:43No.
01:09:44He was able to cross over
01:09:45because he did the work.
01:09:46So people began to respect him
01:09:48because he did that work.
01:09:50The next time you see me,
01:09:52I'll be a dad.
01:09:53And I'll be a grandpa.
01:09:58This is it.
01:09:59This is the moment
01:10:01to my little girl.
01:10:04I'll do the best I possibly can
01:10:06to be the best father
01:10:08I've never met you before yet.
01:10:10And I can tell you,
01:10:11without a doubt,
01:10:13that I already love you.
01:10:16There it is, Mom.
01:10:17Babe, I'm sorry,
01:10:18she looks just like me.
01:10:19Oh, gorgeous.
01:10:23Look over here, Marie.
01:10:24Oh, that is-
01:10:25You are so beautiful.
01:10:30People always say, like,
01:10:31life changes when you have a kid.
01:10:34And everyone always usually goes,
01:10:35yeah, whatever.
01:10:36Yeah, okay.
01:10:37I got a dog.
01:10:38I got a cat.
01:10:39It's not that big of a deal.
01:10:41Yeah, your life changes.
01:10:42One hundred percent.
01:10:44Now I'm on my own.
01:10:45It's cute, huh?
01:10:47You think you're ready.
01:10:48You think you know what you're doing.
01:10:50But you have no idea.
01:10:51She looks just like you.
01:10:53Yeah.
01:10:57That was not me.
01:10:59We're really good at gestures.
01:11:01But add another human being,
01:11:03it's like,
01:11:05what am I doing?
01:11:07That first four months,
01:11:09you are not sleeping.
01:11:11You are tired.
01:11:15And I thought one was pretty tough.
01:11:19Hello, sweetheart.
01:11:22It's okay.
01:11:23Most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
01:11:25Sorry, babe.
01:11:27I can't wait for you to meet your big sister.
01:11:30Holy cow is to a whole other world.
01:11:34Monroe, where are you going?
01:11:35No, don't go in there.
01:11:37It's okay, Maddie.
01:11:38Monroe, Monroe, it's okay.
01:11:46But then you look down and you're like,
01:11:48oh my gosh.
01:11:50You're the greatest thing ever.
01:11:52Yes, yes, my beautiful girl.
01:11:56Man, I love this family.
01:11:58I love everything that we are.
01:12:01Whether it is going golfing for the first time.
01:12:08High five, Monroe.
01:12:09That was a really good shot.
01:12:11Or building a sand pit for my daughters.
01:12:13Like, even my wife was like,
01:12:15why don't you just hire someone to do that?
01:12:16No, I'm going to do that.
01:12:21That is my responsibility as a father.
01:12:25You got me.
01:12:26I get you.
01:12:27I get you, Monroe.
01:12:29I don't think fatherhood changed Mike Mizzen,
01:12:31and I think it changed him from the eyes of the world.
01:12:33Because he's a good guy.
01:12:35Biggest baby face.
01:12:37So, you know, you try to be the biggest villain on TV,
01:12:40and then they see you being the dad that you are
01:12:43with two little girls and so great.
01:12:45It's hard to hate on a guy.
01:12:47I guarantee Monroe and Madison look at me as a dad.
01:12:50They do not look at me as WWE superstar The Miz.
01:12:53They could care less about The Miz.
01:12:54As a matter of fact, Monroe makes fun of me as The Miz.
01:12:57She goes, I'm The Miz.
01:12:58I'm The Miz.
01:12:59I'm The Miz.
01:13:00Hi, beautiful.
01:13:01Do you want me to read you a book?
01:13:03You do?
01:13:05I feel brave.
01:13:07But yeah, I guess I just look at me as dad.
01:13:09Here are some of the feelings you might have.
01:13:12You may look at me as The Miz.
01:13:16We are now bracing ourselves for the second elimination
01:13:19chamber match this evening for the WWE championship.
01:13:25All the guys who were really the locker room leaders
01:13:28when he got there, I think even though those guys
01:13:31truly had already come to respect him,
01:13:34I think he always wanted to, like, keep showing them
01:13:39they were wrong.
01:13:41He was right.
01:13:43How are you?
01:13:44Good. How are you?
01:13:45Are you in his backseat?
01:13:46No, you already are.
01:13:47You already are.
01:13:48I'm going to tell him.
01:13:49I'm going to tell him.
01:13:50It's been 10 years since I've been in this situation.
01:13:53People are going to hate this, and I'm going to love it.
01:13:56I did not think I would ever win the WWE championship again.
01:13:59I dreamt about it.
01:14:00I wished I would.
01:14:02And then my number came again.
01:14:06The Miz is WWE champion.
01:14:11I did it again.
01:14:14Walking back, I think about all the hard work
01:14:17and dedication and sacrifices that it took to get there.
01:14:21Yeah!
01:14:23Thank you so much, man.
01:14:25Great work.
01:14:26Great work.
01:14:27Congratulations.
01:14:28Thank you so much, man.
01:14:29I appreciate it.
01:14:30First time, it was cool.
01:14:32People were clapping.
01:14:33I wasn't sure if everyone really took to me.
01:14:37Nobody works harder.
01:14:39This time, I've earned their respect.
01:14:41That's all I've ever fought for in WWE.
01:14:44Respect.
01:14:46It was a real respect thing with him, man.
01:14:52Whether he needed it or not,
01:14:54he understood, you know,
01:14:57what this meant.
01:14:59Respect.
01:15:06Scout.
01:15:09This is a guy nobody wanted in the WWE.
01:15:12I hate him.
01:15:13I personally hate him.
01:15:15And then you fast forward,
01:15:17he's not only the guy you want in the locker room,
01:15:20but he's the guy you want for everything.
01:15:22You all ready for an autograph signing?
01:15:24Yeah!
01:15:26I say to Miz every time I see him,
01:15:29Miz, if I could have 50 more of you,
01:15:32to have a talent like Miz...
01:15:35Awesome!
01:15:37...that you can place in any situation
01:15:39and have the confidence to know
01:15:41that they will knock it out of the park
01:15:44is invaluable.
01:15:45We know that we can send Miz
01:15:47on any television show and any talk show
01:15:50anywhere in the world.
01:15:52I'm used to people telling me I suck...
01:15:54And Miz will make it work
01:15:56and knock it out of the park.
01:15:57You got it. The Miz, everybody.
01:15:59Whatever you give him,
01:16:00he's going to make it the absolute best he can,
01:16:03and he's going to do it really, really well.
01:16:06International superstar Bad Bunny,
01:16:08who has won his very first Grammy Award.
01:16:11When the Miz and Bad Bunny met,
01:16:14Bad Bunny was one of, if not the biggest,
01:16:18recording artists in the world.
01:16:21You know, we get these celebrities that come in,
01:16:24they're inexperienced,
01:16:25they just don't know how to do what we do,
01:16:27even if they're from
01:16:28different fields of entertainment.
01:16:34And to have someone as reliable as the Miz is,
01:16:38to be able to put him in a ring
01:16:40and have it come out flawless.
01:16:47No one can do that like him.
01:16:48I don't care who you are.
01:16:49He is a special, special performer
01:16:51when it comes to that sort of thing.
01:16:57Logan Paul comes in.
01:16:58Logan Paul has a huge fan base.
01:17:01Logan Paul is a social media
01:17:07megastar.
01:17:09But when you come into WWE,
01:17:11it's very hard to gain respect.
01:17:13This is the real deal here at WWE.
01:17:16And so, it was like,
01:17:17oh, Miz and Logan Paul, this is perfect.
01:17:25Michael Iovine is a fantastic partner.
01:17:29He's the superstar, and I'm the new guy.
01:17:31He's willing to coach me and hold my hand
01:17:33and let me do it.
01:17:34Logan Paul continues to set the world on fire.
01:17:38Oh, and by the way,
01:17:39his coach slash tag team partner,
01:17:42the most must-see WrestleMania performer
01:17:45in WWE history.
01:17:47Man, I can't give Miz enough flowers.
01:17:49He was instrumental in teaching me
01:17:52the ways of the industry.
01:17:54Paul looking to end it all!
01:17:57End it all!
01:18:04See what Miz did here, here, here,
01:18:06here, here?
01:18:07I owe him that.
01:18:09I definitely owe him the beginning
01:18:11and the kickstart of my career.
01:18:17To Mike, that's just another challenge.
01:18:19It's like, okay, great.
01:18:20What else can't I do?
01:18:22Tell me, and I'll prove all of you idiots
01:18:24absolutely wrong.
01:18:28Come on.
01:18:31Okay, you're going blue.
01:18:32You're doing a yellow flag.
01:18:35Yes, what's it up, Mike?
01:18:37I don't think you have enough camera
01:18:38and enough people with you.
01:18:40I think you need more people with you.
01:18:43Talk about coming full circle.
01:18:45You start off as the host of SmackDown,
01:18:48and here I am, last WrestleMania,
01:18:53the host of WrestleMania.
01:18:56You get to play here all the time.
01:18:57What are you kidding me?
01:18:58Multiple times, yeah.
01:18:59It's just different when there's
01:19:00a ring in the middle.
01:19:02We get there the day of,
01:19:04and they're like, hey, Snoop's
01:19:05gonna be with you.
01:19:06I'll get you ready.
01:19:08I got you.
01:19:09It's a dream come true.
01:19:10I'm from Palmer, Ohio.
01:19:11Like, six foot nothing,
01:19:12200-nothing pounds,
01:19:14but hard work, dedication, sacrifice.
01:19:17I'm gonna put everything into this.
01:19:20You are looking live at
01:19:21sold-out SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
01:19:24Welcome to WrestleMania.
01:19:28My second home is Los Angeles, California,
01:19:31so to come here in all eyes on me,
01:19:34I mean, that's what every person dreams of.
01:19:37Welcome to WrestleMania!
01:19:44My job is obviously to be the biggest
01:19:46superstar I could possibly be,
01:19:48but it's also to pass it down.
01:19:50Shout out to my coach, man.
01:19:52There it is.
01:19:53My coach right here, man.
01:19:54He spent time, he spent numerous,
01:19:55numerous minutes with me
01:19:57to get me right.
01:19:58Love you, brother.
01:19:59Love you, man.
01:20:00It's an absolute honor.
01:20:01Love you, too, man.
01:20:02Thank you.
01:20:04Cena took me under his wing.
01:20:06Now it is my job to return the favor
01:20:09that he passed along to me.
01:20:11I was giving people, like, advice,
01:20:13and I was like, listen,
01:20:14you need to do this,
01:20:15and I was like, oh, okay.
01:20:18All right, it was interesting.
01:20:19From a professional aspect,
01:20:21if all the secrets I pass out
01:20:22don't ever go beyond who I pass them out to,
01:20:25they're gone.
01:20:28So when I hear guys like Mike
01:20:31making sure to give,
01:20:33hey, guys, this is at least how I did it,
01:20:35take it and use it as you want,
01:20:36at least I know they're a link in the chain
01:20:38and the chain's not broken.
01:20:40Thank you for passing it on to me.
01:20:41Of course, man. Be the best in me.
01:20:51When The Miz first came to WWE,
01:20:52he was seen as a reality star
01:20:54who just wanted fame,
01:20:55but he's one of the most decorated stars
01:20:57in our industry.
01:20:58He's the most, not one of the most,
01:21:00the most underrated WWE superstar
01:21:03in the history of the business.
01:21:06Who has ever done better?
01:21:08Who has ever proven more with their potential
01:21:11in WWE than The Miz?
01:21:13Miz! Don't do this!
01:21:14Miz! Oh, my God!
01:21:17Part of that is a tribute to his intuitiveness
01:21:20and the fact that he always had something to prove.
01:21:25I look the part, I act the part,
01:21:26I walk the part, I talk the part
01:21:28because I am the part!
01:21:31Every time I see him,
01:21:33I make it a point to go,
01:21:35thank you so much for going with the flow
01:21:38and thank you for being as good as you are.
01:21:40I'm so happy for you, brother.
01:21:41Thank you so much.
01:21:42You made us all proud, brother.
01:21:43This guy's got it in his blood.
01:21:44You know, he loves this business.
01:21:46That's why we love you, man.
01:21:47Thank you.
01:21:48Miz has exceeded and obliterated all expectations.
01:21:52I didn't think I'd be in a chair
01:21:54talking so highly about him.
01:21:56He's a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer
01:21:59and one of the most entertaining presences
01:22:01we've ever had on WWE.
01:22:05Are you kidding me?
01:22:06This is my life.
01:22:08When it's all said and done,
01:22:09Mike's laughing.
01:22:12You kidding?
01:22:13He's living his dream life.
01:22:18Who you are always changes, right?
01:22:20Changes and evolves.
01:22:23But I've realized that if you peel back the onion now,
01:22:27like, what's at the core of Mike Mazzanin?
01:22:30Hard work, dedication, love, passion.
01:22:34Drive.
01:22:36Go after whatever I want.
01:22:38Like, I go after it.
01:22:40If it's, you know, for work,
01:22:42it's for my kids,
01:22:44it's for my wife.
01:22:48I have so much drive for them
01:22:51to be the best dad and husband I can be.
01:22:55So, if that makes sense,
01:22:57if that's a layer,
01:22:58then there's your layer.
01:23:00Custom made to fit Madison and Monroe and Murray.
01:23:04We've got ketchup.
01:23:05We've got mustard.
01:23:07I want to be at all my daughters' dances.
01:23:10I want to be there for their first day of schools.
01:23:13I want to be there for them.
01:23:15I want to be the best parent and best husband I can possibly be.
01:23:21And in WWE world,
01:23:24I just really enjoy entertaining and being in front of a camera.
01:23:27I'm a ham for it.
01:23:28I love it.
01:23:29I don't know why.
01:23:30It's been driven in me since I was a child.
01:23:33It makes me happy.
01:23:34So, as long as I'm able to entertain people,
01:23:38it will make me a very, very happy person.
01:23:46I'm The Miz!
01:23:48And I'm...
