Global 3000 | Fighting for every drop - Jordan

With 180 cubic meters of water per person, per year,Jordan has one of the smallest water supplies per capita in the world. In fact,if things don't change soon, the kingdom may no longer have enough drinking water for its population. So a campaign has now been introduced, designed to educate the people. Change is particularly needed in the area of agriculture, which accounts for 65 percent of the country's water consumption. Many farmers still find it hard to believe that reprocessed sewage is really just as good for their crops as fresh water.
