00:00Is anyone in the White House hiding information about the
00:04President's health or his ability to do the job day to day?
00:07Ms. Sanders Absolutely not.
00:09Given the fact that it's more than a bad night when his
00:12political future is threatened, would he be willing to provide
00:18more medical information?
00:19Would he be willing to have Dr. O'Connor provide more to answer
00:24these questions?
00:26Ms. Sanders Look, Kelly, I certainly understand the
00:29question, appreciate the question, but what we have
00:31provided has been very transparent.
00:33But February was this year.
00:37It wasn't too long ago.
00:38It was indeed this year.
00:39And we provided a transparent report, a thorough report.
00:44The Press You recognize there were many Americans who were
00:46concerned about his capacity.
00:49Was he okay?
00:51What happened?
00:52And we've now gone several days where he has only done
00:56teleprompter comments.
00:57He has not taken questions.
00:58I know you've announced a press conference.
01:00We appreciate that.
01:01An interview, we appreciate that.
01:03But there is a period of time here where the public is trying
01:07to understand what happened, and the President could help to
01:11answer that by engaging with us in an unscripted way right now.
01:16Ms. Sanders So let me just say a couple of things.
01:18There's a couple of things that you said that I do want to
01:20address.
01:21Number one, hours, I don't know, less than an hour after the
01:26debate, he went and he engaged directly with the American
01:29people, right?
01:30He went to a watch party.
01:32He was in a room with hundreds of supporters who watched the
01:35debate.
01:36And when he walked in, they cheered him on.
01:40And he did a photo line with them for some time.
01:45Some of your colleagues had an opportunity to speak to these
01:49supporters.
01:50He did that.
01:51And that was something that he was able to do right after.
01:55And we stopped at a Waffle House, as some of you all know,
01:58and spoke to a full, a packed, a packed restaurant.
02:03He spent some time there.
02:04Then the next day, he went to North Carolina, spoke in front
02:08of hundreds of supporters there who said, we support you, Joe.
02:12We love you, Joe.
02:14And so he was able to do that.
02:15In those two and a half days or so after the debate, he went to
02:20four states and engaged with supporters, engaged with
02:23American people, everyday people, heard directly from them.
02:28And let's not forget, when we landed in North Carolina, I
02:31think it was like 2 a.m.
02:32in the morning, he engaged with supporters there as well.
02:36So the President has been out there.
02:38He's been listening to supporters.
02:40It's something that he loves to do, not just supporters but
02:42American people out there, everyday people who appreciate
02:46what he does, who wants to hear more from him, as you just
02:49stated, and got that opportunity to do just that.
02:51So I think it matters that he's going to do an interview on Friday.
02:54I think it matters that he's going to go to Wisconsin and do
02:57that, right, engage with everyday people.
03:00We're going to continue to do that.
03:01Nothing has changed in that regard.
03:03We're going to continue to be out there.
03:05He's going to be in Pennsylvania as well this weekend, as I just stated.
