00:00Two questions, but to follow up on that,
00:02you talk about how you've spent time with the President.
00:06You know, when you're looking at the time you've spent with him,
00:10have you ever seen the President have a bad night,
00:12like we saw on the debate stage,
00:14during your time here at the White House?
00:15No. So were you surprised by what you saw on the debate stage?
00:18I mean, look, I know that he had a cold.
00:20Many of you were reaching out to us,
00:22to my team and myself directly.
00:24You heard the horse voice.
00:26We were able to confirm he had a cold.
00:28He was under the weather, obviously.
00:31And look, we all have bad nights, right, or bad moments.
00:40It is not unusual.
00:42I just said there have been incumbents,
00:44most incumbents, for their first debate.
00:47It doesn't go well.
00:49So it's not also unusual in that regard as well.
00:52So, look, we're going to move forward.
00:55That's what we want to do. We want to look forward.
00:57We just announced some engagement
01:00that the President is going to have.
01:03We announced, obviously, the interview
01:04with ABC in George Stephanopoulos.
01:06He's going to go to Wisconsin. He's going to go to Pennsylvania.
01:08We're going to have a press conference next week.
01:11We want to turn the page on this.
01:13And we want to turn the page for the American people as well,
01:15because we know that they need to see him out there.
01:18He's going to continue to be out there.
01:19He has been. And we understand how important that is.
01:22And so we're going to turn the page.
01:24We're going to get out there across the country,
01:27Americans are going to see him for themselves.
01:30And I think that's going to be very important as well.
01:32And has the President had a chance to speak one-on-one
01:34with Vice President Harris since the debate?
01:36I can't speak to any conversations that they've had.
